I so want Kyle Chandler to get nominated and actually win. I always loved the way he played Coach Taylor, and I love him even more reading what a great guy he's come across as to people that have met him.

I just started watching this show, so I'm still in the first season. But what a great program! Yes, it's a bit soapy, but that is so overshadowed by well-written, rounded characters and great acting. OK, Minka Kelly looks like she was created by Pixar, voice and all, but even as the weak link, she's not bad.

I'm so excited to have a story to follow! I can't wait forever for my beloved Mad Men to get going again.

Connie Britton and Kyle Chandler were both nominated for Emmys again this year. The show was also nominated for best drama series.

The nomination in this case is a win and well deserved. I really wish this series had gotten so much more love. Too many people thought this was a show about football but it was about people who just happen to play/coach football. A shame.

Even though I still haven't watched all episodes I'm more than happy to hear about those noms since they are completely deserved. I'd LOVE to see Kyle Chandler win but it's not going to happen.

Has Zach Gilford ever been nominated in the past? I think he's a really good actor. I hope he gets movie roles.

It's too bad all three are in competitive categories, but I am happy regardless.

Congrats to FNL for the nominations. I know it's a longshot for them, but it is criminal it has taken the academy this long to recognize such a brilliant show.

I was so excited when I read this story confirming a FNL movie until I got to this part:

DETAILS: People can't wait. There was a report about the movie that saying it would focus on Coach Taylor and that the story was inspired by Mike Leach, the former Texas Tech coach who was accused of locking a kid in a closet. What about that story resonates with you?

PETER BERG: I put Leach in a little cameo in Friday Night Lights and I started to become friends with him, and then he got fired. I really studied that entire situation—his getting fired and the accusations made against him by Adam James, and the pressure that his father, Craig James, put on Leach, using his ESPN bully pulpit. Craig James is a fucking scumbag, helicopter dad—and everything wrong with the culture I observed in Texas. Mike Leach never put that kid in a closet. The kid admitted it. It was a total lie. Now Mike Leach has the Washington State University job and he's got carte blanche. It's a great comeback story.

Mike Leach? Seriously? Opinion in this town is divided, but I cannot stand this asshole and I am so glad he is gone. In my opinion, Mike Leach is everything wrong with the culture of Texas. If the FNL movie is actually based on his asshole behavior then I'm out, and it crushes me to say that. I can't even type Eric Taylor and M*$e L#@*h in the same sentence.
