Nobody saw the last epi? It was so good. God, I love this show.
Go Jason, punching Tim. But then I felt so bad for Tim when he was all sad to tell his brother that Jason hit him. I'm disappointed that Smash is decided to go with the 'roids, this is going to end bad. I loved Coach's speeh to Julie. Men are either hungry or horny, hee.

And it was good, very, very good. I felt bad for Tim, too, for a lot of reasons. He really seems to idolize the indifferent dad who just up and left them, doesn't he? And I really felt for Billy (Tim's brother) trying to be Tim's parent when he's not that much older than Tim himself, but trying, somehow, to provide for the both of them and urge Tim on to the better things he believes that Tim is capable of.

The only reason I don't post in this thread more often is because I love so many things about the show that I never know where to start my post! Matt needs to be my boyfriend like, yesterday. Poor thing almost got that girl to order a root beer float, didn't he? And I'm seriously loving the way Jason's character has been developing. In the first episode, before his accident, I thought he was kind of a pussyboy. But punching Tim? Badass! Speaking of Tim, I really loved the scene where he was having dinner at the Taylors' and you could see how suuuper awkward it was for Julie. Made me realize that despite the fact that we know all the characters, the show isn't a cutesy sitcom where everyone knows everyone. If I was her, Tim would probably seem intimidating as shit.

I kind of hate the steriods storyline, just cos it can't be going anywhere good. Matt Saracen and his awkwardness is finally growing on me. The scene in the hamburger shop was too cute for words.
Tim Riggins needs to wash his hair...the unbuttoned shirts are fine with me, though! It can't be all over with him Lila yet...I love their chemistry.

Matt trying to be all 'smoove moves' with the rootbeer girl was really cute! Matt: "No, I don't think that's what you want." Girl: "Oh really?! What do I want, then?" Matt: "Uh...I don't know..." I hate the steroids storyline too, but it really does seem realistic. He's always been told that he's too small, and on top of that he had a sucky game in front of the scout, who also turned around and told him he needed to bulk up. He's 17, what's he supposed to think they want him to do? Creepy Buddy Garrity and that scout would be all behind him if they knew, while totally disavowing their knowledge to the other adults. Poor Smash.

The way his congregation was hoodwinked to pay for his drugs was really sad. On one hand I feel bad for him, but the manipulation of his mom and the attempted stealing from the hamburger shop was pretty low.

No one? Not a single person here is watching this show? I love the snark as much as anyone, but I'm not too cool to admit that I'm also a sucker for straight up earnestness (not to be confused with preachiness), which is what this show delivers.
It's got your sweet, yeah, I'm not denying that, but it's also got so much more! And I'm not just talking about football. In the latest episodes, we got the ramifications of adultery (from all sides), parent/child relationships gone awry and/or fixed and/or broken irreparably, and the most honest expression of teenage sexuality that I've ever seen on TV.

You're not alone, I'm watching too. I think this is the best show on tv right now. I love the interaction between the coach and his wife. I also enjoyed Tim Riggins teaching the little guy how to throw a spiral.

Yeah, I love this show too! There are moments in the Coach household that take me right back to when I was that age. The mother/daughter fight from 3 or so episodes ago reminded me so much of fights I used to have with my mother. All the actors are pretty impressive, and however they shoot the episodes, they're very pretty.
(And it doesn't hurt that Kyle Chandler's hot.)

I love this show. Everything seems so real. It's so well done. The fight that Tami and Julie had in the sex episode seemed so real, I got tears in my eyes.
Oh and Kyle Chandler as coach...swoon!
