I find it rather funny that Gilmore Girls seems to like TP actresses. We saw both Madchen Amik and Sherilyn Fenn, and I think there may have been a third.
Sherilyn Fenn was also in a L&O ep and was AMAZING.

I loved this show so much when I was a kid, and I know I missed big points of it, so I've been trying to watch it all again. For some reason Netflix has Season 2, but not Season 1?!? I had the Diary of Laura Palmer as well. You have no idea how many times 9 year old me read the "sexy " part where they make out with the boys in the river. In fact, the book automatically opens to that part

Bwah! I think I still have the Diary somewhere! I also enjoyed the sexy parts; I was in HS when it came out.
That's weird about Netflix. S1 came out a WHILE ago; it seemed like S2 wasn't going to come out forever.

The original release of Season 1 is no longer being manufactured, thanks to the legal wrangling it took to get S2 out. But look for S1 plus a new, S1+S2+bonus disc set to appear this autumn.

Ugh!! I can't wait that long! Well, my friend has Season 1 on VHS, guess I'll kick it old school. Thanks for the info, though, bstewart.

I don't know why but I never watched Twin Peaks when it was on. I think I was in junior high or just starting high school. I did read Laura Palmer's secret diary though. I lost my copy and one day while surfing the net last year I found it online! ( Link.) Good stuff. Her story was so captivating to me. The ending of her diary was just so sad. I've seen season 1 on DVD and enjoyed it. I thought there was too much Agent Cooper in it, though. I'd like to get season 2 when I can scrape together some money.

I told this story back at FT. But I remember watching Leland/Bob kill Maddie while we were staying at my aunt's house, which was surrounded by woods. I was terrified, and stayed up all night afterwards b/c I knew if I went to sleep Bob would get me.
To this day (and I'm nearly 30) I love this show, but can't watch that scene. When Bstewart had that Leland/Bob icon, I nearly cried.

I rewatched the Leland/Bob scene recently and I'm sorry to say, it lost most of it's impact. However, Leland's final moments were much more affecting and sad than I remembered. I'll forgive all the crappy second season Windham Earle crap for the visual of the sprinklers raining on Agent Cooper reciting from the Tibetan book of the dead as he cradles Leland.

I have it all on tape, but I stopped at one point and never continued. If I remember correctly, Cooper and his bunch were in a cave looking for "Bob". I can't even tell whether that was Season 1 or Season 2.
