I'd heard Kyle felt the (much)-older-man / high-school-girl romance crossed the line.

I didn't buy the second series set because I knew there were plans for a full-series set. (That still leaves me with Series One, but if it's redundant, maybe I'll donate it to the library and spread the love.)

To be fair, we *did* kind of know that a complete set was coming soon when S2 came out.
(Original 2.0 soundtracks though - yay! I'm all for remastering, but if a movie/TV show wasn't "intended" to be in massively obscene 5.1 sound, it'a nice to have the original as an option.)
I read Kyle did put the kibosh on it, but mostly because he thought it was inappropriate for a grown FBI agent to be sexxing it up with a high school girl. Which, yeah, but it is Twin Peaks. Massive fucked-up-edness is par for the course. It's more fun to blame LFB though.
I just wish the cover art was less hideous.
ETA: bstewart beat me to it.

But wasn't the character of Annie not much older than Audrey? Heather Graham[/color] is apparently five years younger than Sherilyn Fenn. ETA: It's more fun to blame LFB though. Hee. So true. I don't need to hate LFB for no Coop/Audrey,though--her annoying portrayal of Donna is more than sufficient grounds for me. ;D

Wiki says the characters are separated by a year. So...evil LFB! Evil!

The new box packaging is appalling, even though it has a Wizard of Oz feel to it, in keeping with that particular Lynch obsession. I guess I was hoping for a more fetishy feel to the new set since, well, what is Twin Peaks but a one dreamy fetish colliding with the next?
Thank heaven for small mercies, though -- no coffee cup in the set.
Also? LFB went on to bleach her anus and blow Jack Nicholson. Who's laughing now?

I heard that KM put the kibosh on it because he didn't buy that his character would get involved with somone underage. Which I believe, actually. I'm glad they didn't go there, it wouldn't have been realistic.

To answer your question from the other TP thread mile_eater, I was (and still am) a TP fan. A few of us got together in the dorm social room each Friday night my freshman year in college to watch it. (A side question - did anyone else watch the remake of Dark Shadows that came on after it in season 2 (I think)?) Agent Cooper remains my favorite FBI person of all time. TP is next on my list of TV series to get from Netflix.
