I had a wonderful last week for a TP fan! I got the Gold Box as an early holiday gift and I got the Season 2 Music and More CD as a late birthday gift! I haven't started watching yet since I have the S1 and S2 sets. I'm trying to go to the Twin Peaks fan fest next summer and I want to send the souvenir postcards to people while I'm there. Yes, I'm a dork.

<------------------ In the spirit of this thread.
How is the Season 2 soundtrack? I've been spending way too much money lately, but I really want it.
I've been watching my new DVDs all week. James and Donna are as idiotic as ever. I'd forgotten about their dumb plan in S1 to lure Dr. Jacoby out of his office so they could recover the other half of Laura's locket. Um, why not just stake out the place and break in when he leaves? Was the whole Maddy-as-Laura phone call AND dress-up necessary? Plus, it might have been partly responsible for Jacoby's heart attack. I want to re-watch the entire series, beginning to end, but it's really difficult for me not to hit the FF button whenever those two come onscreen.
On the plus side, Coop, Audrey and Ben Horne are always awesome.
I got an Annie postcard in my Gold Box DVD set. Lame.

It's your typical Lynch/Badalamenti soundtrack- the jazzy stuff, the part where Donna's little sister was playing the piano at the end of that episode-called "Hayward Boogie". My favorite track is "Blue Frank" one of those bluesy grinds with the little surf-style guitar chord. It reminds of the song playing when they're all at the Canadian club in "FWWM" or "Mountains Falling" from the Mulholland Drive soundtrack. It has "Just You" (and I) -the song that James, Donna, and Maddy did together, "Hook Rug Dance" from when Ben and Jerry were reminisicing about that girl dancing in their room when they kids, etc. There are samples on amazon.com.

I have a dorky-ass confession to make. I really want to revisit my Peaker days with the new merchandise, but the last time I totally Peaked Out, um, er...we had September 11th. I know, I know, it's not rational to worry that another terrorist attack is going to take place simply because I watch Twin Peaks on DVD, but...
'Kay, maybe that shoulda gone in the TC thread over in All About Us...

I, too, loved Twin Peaks when it aired. I read through the whole thread, and seriously? No mention of David Duchovny as Special Agent Dennis/Denice? I didn't really watch the X Files, so he'll always be Denise to me.

Has anyone else been thinking about the fact that it's almost been "25 years"? Is it remotely possible the series could be rekindled sometime soon, given the gimmicky opportunity a network would have to get it started again?

A Twin Peaks thread! I've been re-watching this lately (it's available at tv.com, all free and legal and stuff), and I remember watching this when it was first on - 20 years ago?! I feel old. I'm halfway through season 2, where my memory about the show gets hazy, and the story lines are starting to drag.
It's awful that it fizzled out so quickly, but I suspect that it was just too much ahead of its time in some of ways, and the network interference really didn't help either. I think if it had aired 15 years later, it could have been another Lost.
I really, really hope they don't ever try to remake it.
