Has anyone seen this? It's on Bravo, and it's a reality show following Paula Abdul. Man, you think watching her on American Idol is hard, you ain't seen nothing. Paula has some issues. I just watched an episode in which she gets some kind of fashion award. She's so exhausted she can barely stand up straight, much less read her speech. I don't think I can sit through another episode because I'm embarrassed and exhausted for her.

I watched this Thursday night. I assume the show was supposed to help clear up the idea that Paula was always drunk or on some sort of drugs while she was on AI. From the two episodes I saw, I don't think the show is going to help. She still looks like she's drunk or on drugs. If anything, she looks worse in this show. If her behavior isn't drug or alcohol related, she's got some serious mental health issues. She was just so bizarre.

I hate Paula Abdul so much. I hope this show bombs hard.

I'm watching. It's such a great train wreck.

They are trying to go with the exhaustion explanation here. Everyone is talking about what an insomniac she is and it is the exhaustion that is making her loopy. Well, you know what? If she wouldn't insist on an espresso at 4 am in the morning maybe she'd be able to sleep. I also suspect she doesn't sleep because she's on something. And if it were that bad, wouldn't she get some sleeping pills or something to help her?

I have mixed feelings about her assistants. They don't seem very competent, yes Paula is a demanding bitch, but much of my job is as project manager. The assistants knew that Paula had to be out of town right and and they didn't manege this project well. They should have packed for her a day or two before the Grammys since the QVC trip had to have been planned in advance. Then there wouldn't have been any of the drama about them not having time to pack also, they may have packed the right stuff for her. However, Paula doesn't come out looking well either because it was so obvious that if the cameras had not been there she would of screamed her head off at them.

Geez, shes so embarrassing. Hopefully someone shows her those clips when shes less exhausted and she realises what a dick she is.

She has to be one something. That's not exhaustion, that is substance abuse of some kind, or it's exhaustion from abuse of something. Notice in the second clip the glass on wine in her hands?

I was fidgeting with embarrassment the whole time I watched this.
Also, I noticed that in one episode she said, "I'm not on recreational drugs!" Uh, Paula? Abusing prescription pills is just as bad. Soon she will be as out of it as Anna Nicole.

Exactly. It amazes me people who think because they have an RX for it, they are not addicts.

Oh, yeah. I noticed that, too. Hard to miss something so obvious. I just don't see this show helping her image any. She actually comes across even more loopy than she did on AI. It was almost creepy when she was at the perfume lab. The looks on the faces of the people working there said it all.
