Hee! Likewise for me, except I went to prep school in the Midwest.
Why is Serena always dressed like a hooker when everyone else is dressed so bourgeois? I'm trying to see designer or couture elements in her outfits but she always looks like she's been shopping at JC Penny's.

Aww, liked the second episode much better than the first and really warmed up to Serena. I do wonder tough what they'll do with Chuck (?). He tried to rape two girls in one episode and you can't redeem a character like that. It seems like he'll continue to hang around though so I hope they don't just gloss over what he did. A black eye is not punishment! The actor is pretty good and I've only now found out that he's British.
Will definitely keep watching, I need some teen soap opera now that The OC is done and I refuse to watch Grey's Anatomy any longer (technically no teen soap but I guess you know what I mean).

The funny thing is all those street shots in Brooklyn were really done in Queens. Vernon Boulevard in Long Island City to be exact.

The only boy I can always identify is Dan. The rest blend to the point where I thought Blair's boyfriend was attacking Jenni.
Also, the dad is hotter than hell.

I've been pleasantly surprised by this show. I've had a massive girl-crush on the actress who plays Serena ever since I saw her in "Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants". She's gorgeous.

That Chuck dude is fug for sure. He reminds me of Oliver on The OC. Stoopid hair...of course Oliver was better looking.

I'm trying to wrap my head around the concept of Oliver being the better of two choices. That said, I have absolutely no memory of what Chuck looked like.
As a straight woman I've got to say that I'm finding the girls (I've had a thing for the girl who plays Blair since she was on VM) and the HotDad far more attractive than the boys.

Not sure why but reading this thread reminded me of Savannah, the 90s show that didn't last very long on the WB. Turns out that one of the actresses on Savannah is Blake Lively's sister. How odd.

I loved Savannah. And it was Robin Lively, right? She's Blake's sister? Didn't know that!

I think the guy who plays Chuck is attractive, and probably more so than most of the other boys, but his character is going to make him seem less attractive. And because I'm oldish, he made me think of James Spader and his rich, cocky ass roles in John Hughes films of the '80s. I have to say that the musician dad didn't look old enough to be anyone's father, especially the father of a 17(?) year old. But then again, maybe that's just my own age showing. I enjoyed the second episode more than the first, but I think the show in general requires a huge suspension of reality.
