They really seem to be keeping a lot of it under wraps. I looked for a cast listing on IMDB, and it only lists Aaron Paul and the actor who plays Skinny Pete (who is in the trailer). So they aren't letting us know who else is in it (yet). The log line only says that Jesse is on the run from the police and "tries to escape his own inner turmoil." Aaron Paul also said people should watch this scene to prepare for the movie. So, I guess if you're into Jesse Pinkman getting his guts ripped out (emotionally/metaphorically speaking), this may be the movie for you (and Aaron Paul IS really good at playing that stuff). Ahahaha, go to the comments, and find a hellacious argument over which is the better TV show, Game of Thrones or The Sopranos, and I can't. even. *only ever watched about 20 minutes in total of GOT, in case you were wondering. A better fight would be, which one had the worst ending. For years, Sopranos held the title, then GoT came along and said, "Hold my keg." or, actually, hold my Starbucks cup in the middle of the frame.

We might have the opportunity to see this in an actual theater (a local one will be playing it for three days.) My BB-loving family is very excited.

Mark Hamill posted on twitter that he's seen the El Camino movie, and loved it, posted with a huge cast photo at the showing. Apparently 10 other BB characters show up. Dean Norris/Hank also posted about the event, which reminds me that I still have my fingers crossed that he is the next BB character to show up in Better Call Saul. I mean, it's got to be him that's the first to be interested in what they're building underground over there in that place? (trying not to spoiler anyone)

Just finished it and am only meh on the movie (glad we didn't pay to see it in the theater.) I guess I just wanted to see Jesse take some responsibility, even if he was the most sympathetic character in the whole mess (except for maybe Mike or Skyler.)

Just finished it and am only meh on the movie (glad we didn't pay to see it in the theater.) I guess I just wanted to see Jesse take some responsibility, even if he was the most sympathetic character in the whole mess (except for maybe Mike or Skylar.) Meh, is right. It was entertaining for the most part. I kept thinking that it was way too easy for Jesse to get around without being spotted, and he was leaving fingerprints everywhere. The Walt cameo was unnecessary. Also, I was majorly distracted by pregnant Jesse Plemmons. I know we were supposed to suspend disbelief and just go with the timeline, but jeepers, if they were going to have him come back, they should have limited his part. His aged face and dad bod were very distracting. Speaking of Todd, his remained creepy and a psychopath. I thought he was going to rape Jesse multiple times while watching. Jesse still made lots of idiotic mistakes, but did get one good victory in the end. I was half hoping for a Walt Jr., Skylar, or Saul cameo, but it didn't make sense to the story. Other nitpicks--I find it hard to believe that they didn't immediately set off the lo-jack or hunt down Skinny Pete and Badger once Jesse escaped. I was also kinda annoyed that Jesse didn't send some loot to SP, Badger, or Brock for that matter. Whatever. It closed the file on the story, and didn't muck up the overall narrative. It was a one and done for me. Definitely not something to watch again.

Yeah, I don’t know how necessary it was, but it was entertaining and it definitely closed the book on the Breaking Bad story. I liked it, I ain’t mad at it.
It was sad seeing Robert Forster, seeing how he just passed away (and for everything he did, I kinda feel like $125K is a low price?)
The one thing I found absolutely unbelievable was the way everyone had phone books in their homes. Who the hell uses phone books any more? I get it’s not 2019 in the story, but it’s post-2005, which is probably around the last time I had a phone book delivered (and chucked it immediately in the recycling bin).

Yeah, I think "I liked it, I ain't mad about it" sounds right for me, too. Maybe I'm too easy, but I wanted closure for Jesse and wanted a happy ending.

Yeah I agree it was pretty unnecessary but I enjoyed it more than I thought I would. I think for me it was because by the end of Breaking Bad I was so sick of Walter White. It was nice to watch something set in that world without his overwhelming presence. Same reason I like Better Call Saul.
I too was a little distracted by how much some of the actors had aged. BB only ended 6 years ago. Did no-one use sunscreen when they they were in New Mexico? Sorry, that’s mean, but when you are doing flashbacks you can’t help but notice.
Heard that Robert Forester passed right after I finished watching this. He did look frail but he had been around so long it was still a surprise. His scenes were a highlight.

After having slept on it, the movie's plot holes seem to be multiplying in my mind. So it's one thing to have Jesse go looking for Todd's money, but would Kandy really know that he had money stashed at his place? I guess we're supposed to assume that Todd told Kandy about the money too, but it also bothers me that the cops didn't have cars sitting and watching the place, particularly since they didn't find the money, and there might be other white supremacists out there looking to get it. Also, how the hell did Jesse get in and out of his parent's place without being spotted? I would think with the amount of scrutiny that they were under, the cops would have set up cameras as well as phone taps. Not to mention getting rid of the hideaway key. And it was also kind of a dick move (IMO) of Jesse to not tell anyone about the cleaning lady's murder. It was indeed bitter sweet seeing Robert Forster again. He did look a little rougher, but still not as bad as Jesse Plemmons. I still can't get over how bad he looked. But overall, I was only 50/50 on Jesse getting his happy ending. I didn't see him as a tragic figure. He even said as much to his parents. He chose that life. Yes, Walt was worse, and Jesse was manipulated but he wasn't some innocent kid that was duped into doing others bidding. He liked the money, action, and excitement. His buyer's remorse just caught up to him faster than Walt's. I guess it can be argued that being held captive and beaten was his karma/jail sentence, and that's fine. But I've seen some people on other forums take some gigantic leaps to excuse Jesse and demonize Walt. He didn't like violence, and didn't kill people unless absolutely necessary, but the way some people have bent over backwards to whitewash him is ridiculous. I hope he does get a fresh start, and does something constructive with rest of his life. I'd actually be interested in seeing a movie that follows up on the rest of the cast. Skylar, Walt Jr., Marie, and the rest of the bit players that interacted with Walt and Jesse. How did they cope in the aftermath? Where are they 10 years later?

The highlight for me was that we finally got to see Skinny Pete's hair. I'd been waiting for that for years.
