I’m so happy Adele has released a new album. I needed new songs to add to my Karaoke list in my car.
(also, “I drink wine” definitely did not go the way I thought it would.

I want to listen to Adele's new album, but I'm scared it'll bring forth too much emotion, lol. I don't know if I'm ready to listen to songs that might remind me of my own separation. Her last album came out in late 2015, IIRC, and that's when my life began to crumble. That album destroyed me.

I can’t believe, as a huge Prince fan, I’m just now hearing this gem: “Another Lonely Christmas”Do better, Christmas music programmers!

I guess I am getting old because in the car now I mostly listen to NPR and the Classical station rather than KEXP (the college "indie" station of Seattle.) I hate to say but KEXP, after going global and online, has gotten boring. Half the time it's new and interesting, if not totally to my taste, music, but for the other half it's mundane oldies the online listeners request, which includes some awful disco stuff from the 1970s I had hoped never to hear again. I even heard a Styx song on there, to my horror.

After this super crappy Christmas I actually felt a little better after watching this from Macklemore, even if it's corny. I sent to my pastor and her sister as sis works right there in Pioneer Square. She especially loved: All the last three-sixty-five-one sucked Like God group texted the world and dumped usIf you're ever in Seattle, The London Plane has the best bread.

Thanks to a bad back and bad luck in finding work, I’ve been listening to some newer (for me) musical artists. Currently, I’m really into Betty Davis (funk/ R&B goddess) and digging the groove. Also, the excellent folk masterpiece of Vashti Bunyan’s debut album. Last one: for some abrasive jazz fusion, the Shibusashirazu Orchestra.

Sang e Mah. Now that’s a voice that can belt but said belting adds to the song instead of making it about showcasing the voice (the latter too often happens with power belting and power warbling which is why I prefer my singers with slightly less strong voices if that makes sense, that’s more about the story). Atif Aslam’s voice is really something, and I think the composition of the song is too. The instrumental in the middle works great.
