You meant me, right? Because this hit me square in the feels. Beautiful interpretation! Your recommendations are never to be taken lightly! Chills.

It's always fun posting music like this and thinking "Oh I bet she'll like this too!" Brandi Carlile is another one who can cover the hell out of a song and make it her own. And then it comes full circle when artists like Dolly Parton and Kelly Clarkson cover Brandi's songs.

I saw Robert Plant in concert a few weeks ago and I dove headfirst into Led Zeppelin and Plant's solo stuff from the eighties.

Any R&B fans here? I was listening to Curtis Mayfield's Superfly soundtrack from the 1970s. Love his Impressions and solo stuff.

What my ears heard and enjoyed today Classic Albums Def Leppard Hysteria (accidental post breakfast sky doc watch/ listen)
Taylor Hawkins Tribute Concert live stream, absolutely hours unexpectedly lost to a genuinely wonderful day of incredible music and iconic artists, thank you twitter for the heads up!
Now, BBC Tellybox, Roxy Music and Bryan Ferry stuff.
Honestly one the best ways to enjoy/waste a Saturday in a long time.
My ears are very happy.
Edit Irish telly has joined the happy ears party with a bit of Elton!

Anyone else listening nonstop to Taylor Swift's Midnights? Just me, then? I don't think it's great, but I'm enjoying some like Lavender Haze, Anti-Hero, and You're On Your Own, Kid.
I dislike Bejeweled a lot. I think Folklore was so much better, but I'm still enjoying it.

It’s not her best, but the songs you mentioned are pretty great. I like Maroon, Question?, Vigilante Shit, Paris and Mastermind. Karma is dumb and skippable. Bejeweled is whatever. Snow on the Beach is boring and skippable (no surprise, seeing as how it features Lana Del Ray, who I find incredibly dull). I glossed over Bigger Than the Whole Sky at first, but I kept seeing references to it possibly being about someone’s miscarriage. I read the lyrics, and wow - just reading the lyrics made me tear up. Don’t think I’ll be listening to it again, but well done, Taylor.

My two younger kids (22 and 19) were subjected to about an hour's worth of Jerry Lee Lewis at his best today--my dad absolutely loved him, and took us all to see him in concert several years ago when he was touring. There's a great video on YouTube of Jerry Lee playing with Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band as his back-up band--Bruce looks like he's died and gone to heaven throughout...

I read in a NYT article that Barbra Streisand's first recorded concert, from 1962, has been remastered and is being released tomorrow on the 60th anniversary of its recording. I went down a YouTube rabbithole listening to it. Live at the Bon Soir. Her voice is astonishing, and she was only 18 when it was recorded.
