I like Shakira's odd lyrics, too. I knew someone else whose first language was Spanish and he was always coming out with the most incredibly poetic and goofy things by accident.
"I like that my breasts are small and humble/So you don't confuse them with mountains." I don't know why, but that is my kind of crazy/brilliant.

Speaking of horrible lyrics, how about Limp Bizkit's Nookie?
"I did it all for the nookie, so you can take that cookie and stick it up your YEAH!" What does this mean anyway?

Yeah, Shakira's crazy I love. Because you'll never confuse my breasts with mountains either. Was that TMI or what?

Topic: I hate "Because of You"..."I never strayed too far from the sidewalk..I stayed on the same side of the road so I don't get hurt". Not only do they sound awful, but the delivery is just aaaaargh. Once, when that song came on the radio, my brother asked me if it was about driving. Now I can't hear it without thinking about bad driving.

I hate and am confused by this song. It sounds like she's blaming her parents for ruining her life, but yet, her life really isn't ruined because she didn't listen. Am I missing something? Normally, I like Kelly Clarkson, but this song BLOWS!!

New Pussycat Dolls song.
One person saying (singing?) with "stick wichoo" is fine. Six is dumb.
If they're going to do dumb pronunciations of words, they could at least say "I'm gon' stick wichoo" rather than "I must stick wichoo". The way they have it just sounds awkward.
And..."nobody gonna take me higher"? Dumb.
And to switch gears: "I should have cheated" ---> Speaking sentences musically is not singing, nor does it make an actual song.

The Axl Rose thread reminded me of the Guns 'n' Roses song "Get in the Ring," in which Axl & Co. proudly proclaim: "You may not like our integrity, yeah!"
Riiiiight... out of all the things wrong with Guns 'n' Roses, integrity is really the number one thing that springs to mind.
Having said that, I love G'n'R and the song in question.

Normally, I like Kelly Clarkson, but this song BLOWS!! God, yes. I'm a victim! Nothing is my fault! My life sucks, but I'm in no way responsible because I was dooooomed from the start! Shut. Up. Actually, go volunteer in a soup kitchen or at a hospice or anywhere you can see people suffer through things that *actually* aren't their fault. Then shut up. (It just touches a nerve in me, because if having a screwed up family really means you're doomed, I'd have gone to my room when I was fifteen and still be there. I'm the last person to do the whole pearl-clutching, won't-somebody-please-think-of-the-children thing, but seriously? What kind of message is that? Give me X-tina's "Fighter" any day.) P.S. [small voice] I really, really like "Since You've Been Gone." Does that make me a bad person?[/sv]

Huh. It never occurred to me that Because of You was about her parents - I thought it was about an old boyfriend.
