Looking for some new music to take to the gym....mostly for recommendations for songs that will propel me along while sweating on the treadmill. I listen to both electronica and rock, country and pretty much everything else, except hip-hop.
What are you groovin to while you exercise?
My latest (not terribly recent) workout CD has on it:
The Killers (smile like you mean it) Kelly Clarkson (since you've been gone) The Donnas (fall behind me) Gwen Stefani (what you waiting for?) The Yeah Yeah Yeahs (date with a night) White Stripes (Jack the Ripper) Neko Case (Train from Kansas City) Franz Ferdinand (This Fire)

I got a hold of Gwen Stefani's CD too, and Hollaback Girl - as ridiculous a song as it is - gets me moving on the elliptical trainer.

I'm awfully fond of Kylie Minogue's Fever CD for dancing and exercising.

I'm awfully fond of Kylie Minogue's Fever CD for dancing and exercising. This and some 90's dance music compilation are my walking music.

Here's my list:
Groove is in the Heart - Dee-lite Michael - Franz Ferdinand (Better Fitness Through HoYay!) Sabotage - Beastie Boys The Rockefeller Skank - Fatboy Slim Voodoo People - The Prodigy Pump Up the Volume - M.A.R.R.S. (As an aside, the fact that this song is nearly 20 years old kinda freaks me out. I can remember when it first came out!)
I find that really driving dance music, or rock with a fast beat helps me get the lead out. Any other suggestions?

Do you ever listen to mash ups? There are some great combinations out there (Dirrty with Jet's Be My Girl, Prince and Britney) that will really help you move.
I'm a big fan of Basement Jaxx and Punjabi MC on the elliptical. Anything that will let me pretend I'm off somewhere dancing rather than in sweaty gym.
