"Sweet Home Alabama" was pretty much ruined for me by that stupid movie of the same name. I'll see you Sweet Home Alabama and raise you "Brown Eyed Girl." Gah, this song was played at every single cheezy frat party and college bar every single weekend the entire time I was in school! I can't stand either song any more. |

As much as I love Jimmy Buffett (yeah, I said it), "Margaritaville" got ruined by secretaries and executives singing karaoke on margarita night.

The only fond memory I have of "Margaritaville" is being obnoxiously drunk, singing along to the song while hurling goldfish crackers through the air trying to land them in the very large hairdos of the girls at the next table.

I submit to you "Solsbury Hill." It seems to be the obligatory song they play in all the trailers for sappy "feel-good" movies, and now I can't listen to it without going into a diabetic coma. Sorry Peter Gabriel; I like all your other stuff though.
