The Pop Pantheon podcast has a really great episode that does a great review of her music and why she is great. It helped remind me that she genuinely is a music legend and why.
If I only knew her from social media, I would be like WTF? She did so many legendary and genuinely "iconic" (hate this word now) photo shoots that it feels like whatever she is doing to herself now is literally shitting on her own mythology. It kinda sucks. There is not any current pop idol that can hold a candle to what she was in her heyday but she's not making it easy to "like" her now. It just feels like she can't just be happy or have joy in her life without getting as much attention as possible, even negative. It brings her down to the level of like-hungry influencer.

But she is making it easy for me to tell all my Madonna loving friends, "I've been telling you all for years that she is an awful person" And I'm grateful for that! In fairness, I will say she made some great music, some of which I still enjoy now. But as a person, I have always thought she was horrible person. I think that face is just the outer manifestation of just how awful she is on the inside. |

I had to look it up to see what you were talking about. If true, then good for her, but I really can't interpret it as anything more than a ploy for attention.
She looks like Pete Burns.

She just boggles my mind at this point. I had to stop following her on SM because she’s just so damn annoying. She and Gwen Stefani are my biggest celebrity disappointments.

I see her videos and random blurbs as cries for attention. She's insufferable and irrelevant. She's done so much plastic surgery I have zero idea who I'm even looking at. It's a real shame, but she needs to just stick to either creating new music and stop trying to be 'hip' or whatever her idea of being hip is. (i.e. stop trying to make FETCH happen)

She's still the same person as when Warren Beatty asked her, "What's the point of existing off-camera?" But nobody stays relevant forever and she's not getting what she needs anymore. |
