Ha! So true - he's the hot young male Jessica Fletcher. I'm just glad that I'm not seeing commercials for it anymore. The backing song was annoying me.
I enjoyed it. I have to admit that I largely enjoyed it because seeing him being constantly dissed by her was fabulous.

I really liked it. The premise is not original at all, but the leads have lots of chemistry and Nathan Fillion is pretty much the most charming person ever. I'm already looking forward to next week.

I thought it was just okay. I didn't realize how much it was a copy of other shows and you could really tell. Nathan's character was pretty much a rip off of Hank in Californication,( minus the sex scenes of course ). He also didn't have quite the charm of Hank and seemed to come off as trying too hard with the smart ass lines sometimes. Anyway, Nathan's character even had the daughter who was more mature than him. Again a rip off of Californication. I also got a little Bones vibe from it.
I hope it kind of moves away from copying these other shows and becomes a little more original. I did like the poker game scene with the two old men. I read that one of them was the actual author, Robert Patterson.

I've never seen Californication, so I'll have to take your word for it.
The other old man was Stephen J. Cannell. He created the A-Team and dozens of other TV shows. He started out as an author before venturing into TV.

I definitely noticed the similarities with Californication (especially in his relationship with his daughter), but ultimately, the vibes of the two shows are very different, to me at least. And Castle is wayyyy less sleazy than Hank (this is network after all

It was okay. Like others, I will hang around just for NF.
The female lead is really breathtaking.

Meh, it's alright. I guess I have watched a few too many cop shows because I knew who the real perps were like 20 min in. Basically it will never be whom they first expect and uh yeah. But the woman is really accessibly pretty (not like Lt. Dani Reese in Life,-that woman is jaw dropping gorge-a show which I love)

I'm so annoyed. The ABC streaming player is the worst one out there. Every time I try to load up the Castle eps, it freezes me out. And hulu points back to abc.com. Grrr.

Streaming episodes at Megavideo. Ep 1 Ep 2 Not sure about Ep2's quality, but the poster for Ep1 also does L&O:UK and his are excellent.
