Their music is OK, but I think all rock stars should model their behavior after these guys. Bands should insult each other more.

Gawd, I can't believe those unibrowed wankers are still around.
Though the Blur vs. Oasis feud was fun; I miss the '90s.

I love them. They are surly, pretentious and slag other bands in print, just what great rock stars should do.
That stuff about being the next Beatles seemed stupid, but everyone is allowed to be stupid 15 minutes a day.

This is one of the bands I sometimes forget about, then I'll catch a song on the radio and go, "Oh yeah!" Then I'll dig out my Oasis CDs and fall in love with them all over again.
Yeah, Noel's an asshat, Liam's a lunatic -- who cares? I love them. We need more snotty, arrogant rockers. It's fun!
I also loved that their "Behind the Music" was subtitled. Hee.

More great quotes from the Gallagher brothers:
And my favourite:
Well, he’s got a point.
Noel and Liam are pretentious, arrogant, rude: the perfect rock stars.

What a perfect description of why I love Oasis as well, though I listen to their later albums alot less. At the same time, I didn't get into them until I heard Noel's song with the Chemical Brothers' "Let Forever Be" which is still one of my favorite all-time songs. I like the assiness of Oasis and how they are right out there with it. They own it. Though I have always wondered how they felt that they traumatized Michael Hutchence, who, to be fair, evidently had a whole host of problems to begin with.
And the quotes, like about Jesus and the aliens are deliciously random. They seem like guys that given different circumstances, would be yelling at lamp posts. Though I do agree that the quote about Coldplay was right on.

Oh, no doubt they're definitely perfect attitudes for rock stars. And attitudes don't necessarily turn me off-I love Fiona Apple, and she's a real bitch. Ditto Don Henley.
I'm just a HUGE Beatles fan, and every time they compare themselves, this little voice inside me shouts, 'BLASPHEMY!!!!"
Oh, and Bono is always cool in my book. Even if I didn't like his music, he'll always rule for making Jesse Helms cry. That kicks ASS.

Aw, he's just jealous that Coldplay is more popular in the U.S. than Oasis.
If the tables were turned I'm sure Liam would be dating Fishstick if she was available.
