They don't come off as arrogant as much as they come off as being whiny little hasbeens who can't make it big in America because of their pathetic little act, hence their lashing out at actual talented people like U2.

Though I have always wondered how they felt that they traumatized Michael Hutchence Damn, I'd totally forgotten about that. Bastards - no wonder I hate them so much.

Thanks for the link. Off to the left side there's a link called "radio supernova". You can listen to their music. Great. I've never heard more than a couple of their songs. Can you guys give me some nice titles to start with?

I do agree with that but I also think that it's pompous to use a children's cancer charity as a platform for your own views on the war. You know what they say, even a stopped clock is right twice during the day.

I always liked Noel's live version (this might have been during the time that Liam just wasn't participating with the live gigs) of Slade's Cum on Feel the Noize. I saw him perform it on Later with Jools Holland. His clear voice was so different from Noddy Holder's but he made the song work. I think they released a studio version (with Liam's vocals) as a b-side or something but it was a lot messier than the Jools Holland version.
Liam definitely has the distinctive vocals of a great rock-n-roll singer but I sort of prefer Noel's voice. I think a lot of the angst between the brothers stems from the fact that Noel writes (most of) the songs while Liam sings them (despite Noel's obvious ability as a singer).
ETA: "Slide Away" from Definitely Maybe is another great Oasis track. I still LOVE the early singles - "Live Forever", "Supersonic", "Wonderwall" and "Don't Look Back in Anger". Sometimes I am surprised at how well those songs have held up to repeated play and overexposure. Oasis really are the best one-trick pony rock band.

Word. As you can tell by my song list above. But I do have to give Liam some props. A lot of people put him down, but he's sweet when the camera isn't on. He talked to one of my friends and loved the scrapbook that she made him that it wound up in one of their DVDs.
