I remember catching a slow-mo glimpse of her legs in one of her music videos from what seems like a billion years ago. She was wearing a Middle Eastern-inspired getup with a long tunic and palazzo pants. She dances and does a move like a long jump that causes her pants legs to fly up in slow motion. Her legs looked fine. They were neither heavy nor skinny nor oddly shaped. That's why I wondered why she never showed them. In fact, Janet's gams looked much better than Beyonce's. And Bey NEVER seems to cover her legs.
As to her Janet's career decline, I agree that it had more to do with her failure to artistically evolve than with nipplegate. It's like she was afraid to get outside her comfort zone, so she repeated everything. And everything - including the elaborate dancing - started to look like a retread. That's why I worry that getting back with Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis as her producers, may not yield the best comeback music.

I can't explain past non-exposure of her legs, but isn't she married to some oil billionaire in Qatar now? I noticed her wardrobe covers her up a bit more lately and I wondered if the two were connected.

My sister is one of her backup singers and is the girl holding up the sign reading "We in this place" at 2:58 in the Burnitup lyric video :-)

"Unbreakable" becomes her seventh career #1 album. So far, I like the album but I find her vocal resemblance to CMJ on it to be a bit unsettling. I never noted a similarity in her previous work.

I admit that I lost all respect for this woman during the "Granny Are You OK?" debacle. Her brother's kids needed support from the family and instead she spirited away their grandma. Seriously, the hell with her.

A bit late in the game, but not unheard of (Laura Linney gave birth to her son about a month shy of her 50th birthday, and I worked with a lady who had twins at 48-49).
Good luck to her. I'm sure she's on bed rest for the remainder due to the high risk level of the pregnancy.

I'm guessing she used donor eggs, which helps lower the risks somewhat. Best of luck to her.
