Gah that would just make me hate her more. I loathed MJ. But those were his kids for all his fucked-up-ness he loved those kids. They were his kids whether they were bio or adopted. And for her to treat them as less than is seriously messed up. Personally I think it was jealousy that those kids were eventually going to have every bit of the money.

I thought that too. But here's the thing. I heard this youtube video about the white/black wealth gap and how in a few years black people will have zero wealth. One of the blogs I used to read, by a black woman mentioned MJ and Wanda Sykes and said something to the effect that they are two black celebrities with money and when they die the money will go to...wait for it...white people. Sure there may be some white people whose money will go to their biracial children, but that isn't the norm. Maybe Janet feels, "at least my child is half black."

Trivia Time: every year I've been to Long Beach Pride, the Janet song that gets played at the Country Area, and the one that gets the Gays 2 Stepping is Someone to Call My Lover, which wasn't one of her biggest hits, but it does make the Cowboys move!

So I watched some of the first episode and some of her siblings are also interviewed: Randy, Tito and Rebbie. One of the first things I'm taking away from it so far is that the 3 of them seem to be excusing their father's behavior as he knew what he was doing and it needed to be done or otherwise they would still be in Gary. Wasn't he really abusive and beat all the kids and the especially their mother? I was very surprised to hear them all talking that way considering their mother is still alive. If I was their mother, I don't know if I would be happy my kids are basically excusing their father's abusive behavior away because they got rich as a result of it. I even had to look up to see if Katherine Jackson is still alive, she's 91.

Joe and Katherine had been informally separated for quite a long time, IRRC. He'd been cheating on her, and the child with his mistress was born in 1974. He stayed with his mistress to help raise their daughter. She tried to divorce him twice but was talked out of it.
