True, but still....sticking your dick in a golfhole? I'm sure there's a very wry bit of social commentary in there that I want to be in on. Maybe that's what's bugging him, he's trying to dig down deep and not liking what he finds? Or rather, what his role would be since his comedy seems to revolve around how black and white cultures intermingle and who that changes some people?

True, but still....sticking your dick in a golfhole? I'm sure there's a very wry bit of social commentary in there that I want to be in on. I don't think so. I think it's the old "black men have big dicks" thing - and that's been around since slavery. Thing is, Dave will NEVER be able to top Clayton Bigsby. He'll NEVER be able to top Rick James (bitch). Who cares!? Some of his funniest stuff, IMO, were the lesser-known skits. Black Bush is still the funniest thing EV-VUH. Tron's "I plead the FIF", Samuel L. Jackson beer, When Keeping It Real Goes Wrong and so on. Dammit, Chris Rock knew he'd never be able to top his "n*ggas vs. black people" skit, and he didn't even *try*. He just continued to bring the funny in different ways. Dave's problem is that he's going down the same old road. I mean, really. "The N*gger Pixie"? No wonder he's bugging out.

Yep. That was some funny sh** that had me laughing for days. "1, 2, 3, 4... FiF".

Actually, I thought the social commentary was that this 'Pixie' would make 'unblack' black people into 'stereotypically black' black people. The dick in the golf hole joke was directed toward Tiger Woods right before he makes a putt, seemingly making the 'unblack' Tiger into a 'stereotypical black' man. Which could be making fun of that whole 'black enough' thing or such. I'm just blueskying here, but I think that's the jest of it.

Is there any possibility that this might all be one gigantic practical joke? Yes, considering the DVD of the second season comes out May 24. Publicity, anyone?

If I'm not mistaken, the Season one DVD is the biggest selling DVD ever (maybe just for a TV series...or overall). But anyway...it sold an astronomical amount for a DVD. I doubt they really needed to go this length to push the Season 2 DVD. Especially with the skits on it. The DVD sales is part of the reason for the 50 million contract.

I was just coming here to say that - the DVDs were the best selling television DVDs, so I don't think they need to rely on this kind of publicity to move them out the door, especially considering season two has the infamous Rick James skit - thereby making it a required purchase for all frat boys across America.
Whatever is going on, I hope he can get his act together.

A dear friend of mine knows someone who works on the show, closely with DC. He said that it wasn't cancer (another rumor I'd heard), wasn't drugs, but that DC was having some mental problems that he needed to sort out.
I'm glad to hear that he's getting the help he needs.

Dave checks into a thingy in South Africa. They denied drugs, hmm. Maybe he was under all that pressure. I mean, weed doesn't do that to you. Unless he was doing harder things all the time, which we know so many celebrities do. I wonder what exactly happened to him.
