Looking up a few of the Archie-Julianna rumors and apparently it's been two whole years since Archie and Julianna have had a scene together. Kalinda and Alicia have had phone conversations, but that doesn't require the two actresses to have any contact.
Robert King lied through his teeth at Paley Fest and said it's all intentional to build up the impact of them eventually having another scene together.
Archie Panjabi's fans notified her about PaleyFest over twitter when they were disappointed that she wasn't on the panel. She said she was "unaware" of it but it would have been a nice opportunity to connect with fans before she left. I don't believe that Archie was actually unaware of PaleyFest, but that must have been her way of saying she wasn't invited.

While I can fanwank that she does all her hair, nails and shopping appointments off screen at some point, the house being a spotless showroom with food and wine at the ready has always bugged, as it does in any show that has the same circumstances. At least some sitcoms deal with it, even though it's unrealistic. The house on The Middle is an intentional mess and they always eat takeout because the parents have said many times they can't be bothered. Modern Family had an episode about getting the girls to clean their bathroom themselves (the shot of Phil pulling a wad of hair out of the shower drain all nonchalant to show them there's nothing to it, and then gagging in the hall was awesomely realistic).
Because obviously someone in Alicia's position would have a housekeeper and that would be important for security reasons. They could have included her (or him) in some plots as she overhears things or misinterprets messages or betrays Alicia, whatever.
Me too. I watch a legal drama for the legal drama, not the soapy shenanigans. I would have liked seeing Alicia and Carey in court versus Diane and Will sometimes, and not being able to predict who would win. They also had a good stable of secondary sparring lawyers in Michael J. Fox, Mamie Gummer and that crazy woman (Elspeth?). Wish they'd return to the case of the week format.

That episode was much, much better. Of course anything with a Diane storyline plus bonus Gary Cole is going to be awesome in my book. I feel like this was the most screen time she's had all season.
Next week: Go Prady!

Yeah, I too hope that Niles Crane wins the election.
This show has been about the corruption of St. Alicia - at first she truly was a goody two-shoes, and it mostly brought her pain. Then she started to move into the gray in order to get what she wants. Now I feel she's gone too far into the dark side and she knows it. I think she wants Niles to win too. She needs to step back and find a happy medium. I'm glad the election is finally coming, though - this has been going on for a long time.
Diane is awesome. She had her own husband served. And seriously - the 3-D printer gun thing is scary.
And I love that Louis Canning is so evil he would screw with Alicia post-kidney transplant from his hospital bed.

Alicia appears to want Prady to win too. It occurred to me that she might do something to sabotage her chances, but I think she's still far too competitive.
Johnny seems to have real feelings for Alicia, but I suspect it's only sexual for Alicia. She has much more chemistry with Finn.

Thanks goodness, back to an actual court case again. And all the great recurring actors - Gummer, Fox, Cole!
It occurs to me that the older David Hyde Pierce gets, he looks even more like Kelsey Grammer. Weird.

I heard that he got the job of Niles, the brother (a role that was not originally written into the script) by approaching TPTB and stating the obvious, he looks like Grammer's little brother.
The rest is history, (and a hell of a run for David Hyde Peirce).

Yeah, it's obvious why he was cast as Frasier's brother, but he always looked individual enough. Now that he's older and not so thin, he looks even more like Grammer.

So Alicia won. I'm looking forward to seeing how this affects the firm and Alicia's relationship with the partners, which is already hanging by a thread. And I'm glad Prady did not take Alicia up on her offer.
Interesting how both Diane and Alicia found themselves enjoying hunting & killing activities in this episode, and both landed big "trophies", so to speak.
ETA: I hate that Alicia has chosen a political path which keeps her connected to Peter. I would love to see her publicly separate from him - seems like the one "reset" the show hasn't done yet.

I'm bummed that Finn has a side piece. I guess they're laying the groundwork for Matthew Goode's exit.
