My CBS channel chose to run a little blip ad for our CBS anchor, Rob Johnson right before coming back to the show where he was reading the poll results/final projections. It was very eye rolly.
I really didn't want Diane to shoot that deer. I feel like there are so many stories out there about the liberal democrat turning out to love shooting. Blergh.
I have nothing to say about the election results, I just hope the story lines pick up their usual momentum now that the campaign is over. The whole thing has been so omnipresent its dragging everything else down. Even Peter's race for governor did that way back when.

I'm bummed that Finn has a side piece. I guess they're laying the groundwork for Matthew Goode's exit. Well, considering Alicia is married, I can't fault him for dating someone else. I'm still rooting for the two of them to get together.

I could have watched a whole hour of Diane in Wyoming. I'm happy the election story is finally over. I'm cautiously optimistic that Alicia as SA will open up some interesting story lines. But I also fear there will be even less screen time for Diane and Cary as they'll really only cross paths occasionally in court with Alicia. I wonder if we will ever see Taye Diggs again. Remember when it seemed like he was going to be a recurring character?

Good episode tonight, although as lawyers you would think the partners at Florrick Agos would be smart enough not to say nasty things about clients over email.
Now I'm beginning to wonder if Alicia will even take office as SA. I think Kalinda's evidence tampering from a few months back is going to come back to haunt them.

See, I thought it was a bit of a cop out. As attorneys they should definitely know better. Jesus. And none of Alicia's emails were leaked? Seriously. I'd think she'd be the first one. The big fish. The Governor's wife, and new state's attorney. Lazy storytelling in my view.
I did enjoy that Matthew Goode got more than 3 lines, but his character is woefully under utilized. And of course Howard watches porn. And of course the partners are trying to low ball Alicia, cause that will NEVER come back to bite them.
Eli was enjoyable as always. I love him. And I did giggle that everyone assumes David is gay.
The only thing I can think of is that Alicia pisses off so many people, that she's crippled going into office, and has to play the under dog.

And just when we thought the election was over......
But I liked this episode better. I knew those emails would focus on Alicia more than the firm. She's the public figure.
I love, love, love Diane, and I liked the mock trial. I wish the show would focus more on Diane being amazing.
This will not end well for Kalinda....

This might not end well for Diane either. She could be disbarred.
I don't remember Alicia's campaign pulling any voting shenanigans except for Peter's creation of a traffic jam later in the day. We'll see what happens, but I am more doubtful than ever that Alicia will be the SA. And she really does deserve a comeuppance.

What irritated me is that Peter's last election focused on election fraud. And now they're doing it again? It just seemed to come out of nowhere. And I'm over the election! All I can think of is that the writer's have Alicia become Peter (so to speak- with an epic fall from grace), and she has to build her life again. They do seem to be running in circles. I want them to focus on cases again! Remember those? I'm sure the writers will find a way so that Kalinda kind of takes the rap, but nothing happens to Diane. I do have to say that I loved when Peter let Lily Rabe's character know she'd been scooped twice within the course of an hour. It's what a true politician would do. ETA: Bumping to say I was partly correct in my assessment. Alicia loses everything. I wonder how she comes back to the firm. Looks like it will not be easy. Kalinda is totally going to testify against Lamond Bishop. Since both actors are leaving the show, I wonder if she kills him, then goes into hiding? I felt for Diane... and Cary's just dumb. Although I'm over the election, I did like that they showed how horrible politics can be. 2/3's majority is the brass ring. Ron Rifkin plays slime well.

Oh Alicia. You never should have trusted Arvin Sloane. I do wonder if it will come out later on that Peter betrayed her so they wouldn't go after him. He is a savvy politician. He must have known that the party lawyer would protect the party in the end. He should have advised her to get a new lawyer.
I almost wish that we didn't know Kalinda was leaving. It takes some of the suspense out of that story. Obviously neither Diane or Cary are going to testify or go to jail or get murdered. Either Kalinda testifies or she tries to kill Bishop. I don't think they will kill Kalinda off but I don't see her getting a happy ending either. I also think Diane should have been a lot more pissed at Kalinda. Even if Kalinda had changed her mind about using the fake evidence, she had it on her computer because she was at one point going to do so which means that she was still willing to put Diane's career at risk. How was she not at the least fired on the spot?
This season has been kind of hit and miss but I have to say I am now really interested in how the season plays out. I have no idea what Alicia is going to do next.

I think whoever called Kalinda as headed towards Witness Protection a while back was right on, and it is definitely less suspenseful because we know she's leaving. Oh well. I wonder if Margulies and Panjabi will do a face-to-face scene in her final episode or if their final interaction will be a silly phone conversation.
I have to hand it to the writers - I never expected the recount to go THAT direction.
