I'm growing tired of the political campaigns and the Peter/Alicia marriage sham. Looks like Alicia might join forces with her new bar attorney friend, but I'm curious how they will integrate Cary and Diane into the drama.
This show has been circling the drain ever since Will died. I just can't get excited about it anymore.

I am such this show's bitch. It keeps doing the same thing. They have Alicia as the underdog, slowly builds herself up to being top dog, and then fate slaps her upside the head and she's back to being the underdog again.
I always liked underdog Alicia the best. I've watched four shows last night, so I'm not quite caught up but close. I'm liking all of it! Liking the addition of Patti from leftovers, the new friend/lawyer, new and improved El.
(I can't get over every time she is in bond court there is always a baby crying in the background.)
But what is with the rugged cowboy love interest crap? Diane married hers, and now it looks like Alicia has one too! Looks like whoever is casting/writing the show has a type!
So basically, hated the show last season, loving this season so far.

I'm enjoying this season so far, too. I particularly enjoy the battle between Eli & Margo Martindale's character. I look forward to seeing how that will play out. Plus, I really like Cush Jumbo (Lucca - the female bond court attorney), and it's nice to see Alicia out drinking with a work friend again.

I said Bye Felicia to this show at the end of last season. I've only been checking into this thread to see if I should reconsider, but even though you guys are saying it's good, I think I'm truly done. I just realized I don't want to watch Alicia and a new love interest after the show squandered Matthew Goode or watch Alicia have drinks with a work friend after the show squandered Kalinda. And I have pretty much no affection left for Alicia so I guess I don't want to watch her anymore either.
I'll tune back in for the series finale to see how it turned out. But give me a heads up if it looks like they are going to kill off Grace because I'd like to see that too.

I really liked watching Diane face off against Louis Canning in court and how she wasn't putting up with any of his crap during the trial.

Seriously...realizing why I agreed with Izzy finding Denny so hot in the first place, Jeffrey Dean Morgan=yum

So last night's episode had an Emmy-bait scene where Alicia has an emotional breakdown in front of Lucca, solidifying their friendship. Nicely acted, but it would have had more impact if Kalinda was there instead of Lucca. Oh, and Alicia finally kissed what's-his-name.
I'm so glad Eli brought up the fact that Alicia had her chance with Will, and she chose not to stay with him. That doesn't excuse what Eli did, but I bet things would have turned out very similar if Alicia had heard the voicemail. This was more about Alicia's anger with herself than with Eli.
I don't think anyone's confirmed it yet, but the show seems to be winding down. I hope this is the last season.

They've already announced that if there is another season, the Kings won't be back to run the show. And JM said off-handedly in an interview something like "I'm unemployed after April" so it sounds like she isn't planning on doing another season.

It would've been more effective as well if Julianna Marguiles could move her face anymore. She's obviously been having work done for a while but it seemed to be subtle enough that she just looked refreshed. This season she looks totally jacked up. And her new wig is awful. I really hope its done too. Its running on fumes now. If it is the last season it doesn't seem like they are pushing forward any storyline with any sense of urgency. The whole Peter running for president went nowhere. I hate everything about the bond court judge storyline. There is still half a season left but they should be thinking of some sort of end game by now if it really is the last season.

I think they have an endgame, and putting Alicia in a happy relationship is a big part of it.
I don't know if she'll go back to Lockhart Agos-I think she would insist they bring on Lucca too. Cary and Diane are still woefully short on storylines though.
