ITA they blew it on the Aussie episode. That should have been good for a helluva lot more air time. Their Hawaiian trip took 2 episodes, didn't it?

I only laughed twice during the episode. Both thanks to Phil. First when he got punched by the kangaroo and then when he he called himself "Crocodile Dunphy" That was hilarious.

I checked to see if joeys are really born without back legs after this episode. That seemed unlikely to me. And, they aren't. They have to move their back legs together when they're born, they can't move them independently until they're older.

I know it's juvenile, but I laughed out loud when the kangaroo punched Phil in the face. When the kangaroo turned toward the camera with a look that said "you're next", I cackled. I agree they could have at least done a 1-hour episode. It seemed very rushed. ETA-- I also liked Alex's quick "dingo ate my baby" joke.

Yeah there were funny moments, but if they'd strung it out over at least an hour, it would have been so much better. They made climbing the bridge look like a stroll through the garden. Not true. It's time consuming and tiring.

The Hawaii trip was just one episode, although it was a much more cohesive one. I just saw it in repeats the other day, so it's pretty fresh. I don't understand why they don't do two-parters on these trips, get their money's worth. Especially going all the way to Australia!
Speaking of repeats, Gloria was so muc more pleasant in season one. Her accent was less pronounced (which is such a stupid direction choice, whose accent gets stronger after being in the country for several years?) and no screeching. Plus, I much prefer her with darker hair, I don't care which colour is natural. It's so harsh now, and coupled with her harsh screeching, she is unbearable.

I admit that I rewound the kangaroo part about four times.

I know this is a few eps back but I laughed a lot at the Vegas episode. I loved that whole runaround thing.

I know this is a few eps back but I laughed a lot at the Vegas episode. I loved that whole runaround thing. The Vegas episode was perfect. I get a big kick out of farcical comedy. I know there's been complaints about Sofia Vergara using a thicker accent, but I don't mind it. I laughed every time she said "Rebarkah" with such disdain, and I also loved her pronunciation of Langham.
