I wasn't serious with that comment. I'll explain "sarcasm" to Brookie. She's usually on board with it, I hear.

Ugh, I think he is so gross. That's all I got, though.

Take back all the bad things you said about Elin, y'all[/color]. Long story short: the structure did not meet hurricane codes and had other problems, so it was cheaper to tear it down & start over. And all the interiors were stripped & donated to Habitat for Humanity before it was bulldozed.

Looks like her PR firm panicked when folks started speculating how wasteful and spendthrift she was being in this economy, and sent out the big guns to show how Elin has a huge heart who totally cares about the poors, and loves donating items more than the cold, hard cash she could earn by selling.
Smart move.

Smart move. I don't blame her if she did if a blatantly false story diametrically opposed to what actually happened hit like this one did.

I don't get why it would be so hard to believe that she'd do the right thing simply because she thought it was the right thing to do.

I think it's tue. Anyone can verify the hurricane code story simply by looking up county records on the property, as well as any kind of electrical, sewage, or structural code problems. It's public information.
