I'm not going to even touch Beyoncé/Ledisi but only comment on the performance which was a fucking mess. And the Beyhive needs to stop acting like Beck is some fucking random who just walked off the street to get a Grammy. They're embarrassing and need to be annihilated from this earth.

Nothing in that article says she asked to sing the song, but to intro them. John and Common could have said no, pretty sure Beyonce couldn't storm the stage and force them to make her sing. Ledisi was never going to perform on the Grammys so Bey didn't steal a spot from her. They could have had Ledesi sing if they wanted to, the, but sure it's much easier to blame the woman in the situation. Of course it was a ratings grab. The producers are at fault for offering, or even suggesting that Beyonce sing. What Beyonce should have done was shown a little grace, humility, and decency and allowed Ledisi, who was actually in the movie plaing Mahalia, sing the song, and intro Common/John Legend. This isn't about pitting women against women, or a huge star against an unknown entity. This is about Beyonce's out of control ego. Plain and simple. Or John and Common could have said "Thanks, but no thanks.", shown a little integrity themselves and stood by the person who sang the song in the movie. But nah, let the guys get a pass.

Yeah, I'm not going to blame Beyoncé solely. She had no business asking to perform that song and Common/John had no business giving her the permission. But I still put a lot of blame on her for asking and then doing a shit job.

Haha, that's hilarious. The Beyhive is just too much. I did not enjoy the performance because I'm not into gospel music and after a Grammys night filled with slow songs, it was just one more that I could not take. The John/Common part of the performance was good though. I am kinda okay with people dissing Beck, because he's a Scientologist and those people shouldn't be getting awards.

Eh, Beck was born and raised $cieno so I give him a little more latitude than people who willingly convert as adults. He was also way classier about Kanye's antics than he needed to be.

Kanye needs to stop. It was disrespectful when he did it to Taylor, it's disrespectful now and has absolutely nothing to do with racism. As this guy on Twitter said, Beck plays 12 instruments on his album, while it takes 4 songwriters to "write" one Bey song. The guy also said Beck was releasing albums when Kanye was still producing Mase songs.

Huh. I didn't even know that Beck had an album out, and there he was, winning artist of the year last night. Damn. I am out of touch. I usually like his stuff though.
And Kanye needs to stop.

The Beyhive needs to have a stadium full of seats. I just found a clip on Youtube. "Precious Lord" is one of my favorite hymns and I don't know what the heck she did to it. All the runs and the exaggerated head movements. Girl, please.
