Movie made maybe 10 years ago: English bank heist, set in the early 1970s. The thieves think they are robbing the safety deposit boxes in the vault of a bank for jewels/money, but they are being set up so that someone from the police/ HM government can remove compromising photo negatives of Princess Margaret. I'm curious to find out if any of the story was true.

I'm curious to find out if any of the story was true. It was called "The Bank Job" and starred Saffron Burrows and Jason Statham. Seems like some other big names, but I don't remember them. I caught a bit of it on cable not too long ago. |

I found out about this one a couple years back--on the same program in which Beau Willimon was discussing the development of House of Cards--a short Spanish language film that I thought was called Coléra. Can't find it anywhere. Seemed like a Cannes thing, maybe something that made the rounds at places like the Toronto film festival.
Anyone know where I can find a copy?

Forgive the double post, but this one is really bugging me. It was a western, made for tv in the last twenty years, which had, as one of its more notable scenes, a man actually rejecting prostitution services offered by a prostitute's actual madam ("I think I speak for us both when I say 'I'll pass.'") Said madam then gave the guy a lecture about how she got a cut of every profitable mining claim, including his own. Don't remember the name of the town. It may have been a biopic of some famous Old West personality.

I saw this movie on TV a long time ago, and I only saw some scenes so it may be one or more movies. It was set in a southern-ish state, maybe TX, with a dude who wasn't the cool jock and he somehow 'got the girl'. I think there was a hookup scene in the pool, and maybe his friends and him going to Mexico or something. It was set in the 50s or something. I think he cheated on her. The scenes are so so clear in my head, but I only saw parts of this film once and it drives me crazy not being able to pinpoint what movie it was!

Was it Losin' It with Tom Cruise and Shelley Long? It has Mexico, a road trip to Mexico with the guys, set in 1965, making out...
