Firstly. I really want to like the newer "Batman" movies, since I've been a Bat fan since second grade, but I just can't like them without Robin in them. He's my favourite character, and his omission is so glaring to me I can't concentrate on anything else. Plus it makes me very angry that he obviously gets cut because he's a female fan favourite. Male fan favorites never get cut.
Secondly. As a horror movie fan, I want to like older horror movies, but almost anything pre-1980s just annoys me. The stuff from the 70s and 60s was so blatantly sexist I can't take it, and the really old stuff (ie 1930s) was just so darn cheesy and fake looking I have to laugh at it.

The Godfather, maybe because I am not a man or maybe because I love horses! Just don't get it.

The Princess Bride. I want to like it, I really do. But it is so SO boring.

"The Godfather" "The Princess Bride" ? Two of my favorites. Why did I let myself into this thread.

I love the Princess Bride but The Godfather doesn't do anything for me. I appreciate its artistry, so it's something I want to like but don't bother with, and not an unpopular opinion.

Star Wars. I saw the first one when I was about 6, thought it was meh, never had any desire to revisit the matter.

Widdlesarah, what about The Haunting? I have not seen that one. Is it good? Do you mean the original? I do care much for modern day horror either. Too much about technology. Getting a text saying "I'm coming for you!" would be scary in real life but it is not very scary to watch.
