Widdlesarah, what about The Haunting? I have not seen that one. Is it good? Do you mean the original? I do care much for modern day horror either. Too much about technology. Getting a text saying "I'm coming for you!" would be scary in real life but it is not very scary to watch. The original is GREAT! Watch it at home alone with the lights off.

The Artist. (ducks flying shoes) I know it's supposed to put a human face on Classic Hollywood and beautiful cinematography and fabulous score, but...meh. Fell flat to me.

Me, too. I spent the whole movie thinking that the black and white cinematography was flat. Turned out it was shot in color, then transferred.. It was totally distracting, since the film itself was so boring.

The Five-Year Engagement. Mr. S. is still watching it in the other room as I type. I gave it an hour but had to leave—the cast is great, and I generally like Judd Apatow's choices—but it's just fucking awful.

I read the summary to that movie and thought, no thanks. Like, why do they have to keep waiting to get married? I mean, I know that if they didn't wait there would be no movie, but...

I thought it sucked and so did everybody I watched it with. I can't believe it won ANY awards. What garbage.
