Breakfast at Tiffany's. First and foremost because of the racist Mickey Rooney character... but even if you take him out, I just don't give a shit about Holly Golightly. There, I said it.
Saving Private Ryan - great opening battle, some individually great moments of acting, but overall I wasn't as moved by it as I probably should have been.
Magnolia - Again, there were some individually great things about this movie but overall I thought it was interminably boring and overwrought. Strange because it had a lot in common with Boogie Nights, but I really enjoyed that movie.
I'll also nth There Will Be Blood, which wasn't so much bad but boring aside from the "drink your milkshake" scene.

Citizen Kane. I watched it in twelfth grade after finding out my beloved Roger Ebert thought it was a singular masterpiece. I found it the most boring, uninspiring, non-thought-provoking film ever made. Which makes me anathema to most of my family, especially my dad, who just named his new boat Rosebud.
As for franchises, I just could not get into the Lord of the Rings movies. I thought the first one was great...at first. (And I actually like the theatrical release better than the extended one.) But a year or two later it was only meh to me, I found little to like in The Two Towers and didn't even bother with Return of the King. They revoked my geek membership for that.

I submit the patron saint of this thread, Lost In Translation. It was a big ball of meh. Sorry. I tried, I really did.

I've fallen asleep every time I tried to watch "Casablanca".

I clicked into this thread with thoughts of taking credit for it's creation. But it is very clear that many feel the same way I do. POTC At World's End. I really wanted to like this movie, I even bought it the other day on DVD made myself watch while eating my favourite foods. Still can't like it. I don't know what it is, but it just sucks. Also, I cannot watch any of the LOTR movies. They are dead to me now.

I could not have been more primed for The Matrix Reloaded, and yet, there I was, wishing the Wachowskis had quit Hollywood and gone to live on a farm so as not to spoil the memory of their first act.

Speaking of which, Dwan, I am in love with your blog and check for updates religiously! Are you insanely busy, or can we expect some more Blathers anytime soon?
OH, my contribution to this thread--He's Just Not That Into You. Sickening drivel.

Star Wars. Yes, that includes the original movies, not just the sequels. I know it's supposed to be a wonderful thrill ride, but I just don't care about any of it.
Also, Moulin Rouge! I wanted to like it just because Ewan was trying so hard to sell it to me, and it started out good, but then it just kind of died up there on the screen.
The Royal Tenenbaums. Great production design, great music, interesting characters, but there's no story. I spent the whole time wondering what the hell the point was supposed to be.

I second Moulin Rouge. I love musicals, but I just didn't like it. People comparing Nine to it make me not want to see Nine either. Also, the LOTR series. I loved the books; the movies put me to sleep.
