I only saw the original first Star Wars film (under duress!) and hated it, so I didn't bother with the rest. Since I was forced to see it, I didn't want to like it out of spite, so I was lucky I really didn't like it anyway. The Lord of the Ring books bored me in English class, so I avoided the movies.
I had high hopes for Amelie but it was just too precious.

Now that I'm thinking back, neither the Jurassic Park or Spiderman franchises did anything for me, which actually makes me feel a tad culturally illiterate. And I quit caring about the Batman movies after the second one.

I could not have been more primed for The Matrix Reloaded, and yet, there I was, wishing the Wachowskis had quit Hollywood and gone to live on a farm so as not to spoil the memory of their first act. Yea, all the Matrix movies were whatever to me. I have come to the conclusion that most movies I have watched are a total waste of my time.

Also, Moulin Rouge! I wanted to like it just because Ewan was trying so hard to sell it to me, and it started out good, but then it just kind of died up there on the screen. Godddddddd, yes. I hated Moulin Rouge. Actually I think I really just hate Baz Luhrmann's style in general.

As I mentioned in another thread, I was the only person in the world who thought George Lucas should've quit while he was ahead after Star Wars. I refused to see The Empire Strikes Back and I winced through Return of the Jedi. To this day I had friends tell me I must see both films. I told them to talk to the hand.
As for Moulin Rouge, I thought it was crap when I saw it in the theater; however, I saw it again and I changed my tune so to speak. What changed my mind was a spoof I saw of it where the actors went even more OTT than the actual film that had me ROFLMAO that I didn't take the original film so seriously anymore.

I thought the first Matrix was genius. Of course, I went into not knowing very much about it at all, so that opening scene blew me away. The last two SUCKED.

I felt the same way, they weren't bad movies but I thought they were overrated.

The Hangover. Not. Funny. I know everyone and their mother thinks this movie is the funniest thing evah, but I didn't find it even relatively amusing.
For the record, I think Bradley Cooper is hot and love Ed Helms, but this movie was just a huge FAIL.

Same here. I watched this movie a couple of years ago and found the leads, especially her, to be assholes. My favorite character was Cat.
I'll submit Marie Antoinette here because, as a French Revolutionary history enthusiast and Marie Antoinette apologist, I couldn't wait to see her story come to the big screen....and then I realized they fudged some of history and I was really angry. Visually, however, the movie was gorgeous, so I could just run it in the background w/out the sound on as an art piece.
See also: Avatar, which I actually didn't want to like but was expecting to. BORING.
