Don't feel bad, Shanmac, I love It's A Wonderful Life. I realize it completely obliterates my plan to become a world dominating supervillan, but really, I get all teary-eyed when they start singing "Auld Lang Syne" at the end.
Yay! Other people love The Hebrew Hammer! It's so f'ing funny. It's one of the only roles where I really like the casting of Andy Dick (the other being Scotland, PA). Plus, who doesn't love Mohamed Ali Paula Abdul Rahiem, The Hammer's Kwanzaa counterpart?

I'll be seeing The Nativity Story on opening day. One reason: CiarĂ¡n Hinds as Herod.

I really love (for nostalgic reasons) the version of A Christmas Carol with George C. Scott, but I haven't managed to catch it on t.v. for several years. I also love the original Miracle on 34th Street, especially the part when Kris Kringle talks to that little adopted Dutch girl, and yes, The Hebrew Hammer cracks me up, because I generally hate Christmas and I feel for all my Jewish pals at this time of year. I love Mario Van Peebles making light fun of blaxploitation as Rashiem!

Although I can't stand Winona Ryder's voice... I will always love Little Women. There is just something so great about that movie and well, a hot Christian Bale doesn't hurt.

I like to watch While you were Sleeping during the holidays. I just love the family in this film and it makes me feel good. Plus, we always quote the old woman at the table when we eat christmas dinner. "These mashed potatos are so creamy."
I also enjoy Elf. It's such a perfect little gem of a movie. It's funny all the way through, and Will Farrell is so perfectly cast in this.
I never miss the animated version of The Grinch That Stole Christmas and The Year Without a Santa Claus. I LOVE Snow Miser (he reminds me of Dick Van xxxx, who I used to have a massive crush on.

Awww While you were sleeping is so cute. And--weird trivia--I live about 2 blocks away from the exterior of Sandra's apartment in that movie. After I moved into my condo I went walking around the neighborhood and saw this building and was like "Hey, that's from While You Were Sleeping!" and looked it up--sure enough--right there.
I also love White Christmas and can sing the entire Sisters song.

That was on TMC last night. I love the part at the chapel when she addresses the family, "I fell in love with you." Close-up on Peter Boyle. "You fell in love with ME?"
I'm still laughing about that right now.

Don't tell anyone, but I always cry at the end of "While You Were Sleeping." Every damn time. He gives her the world! *Sob!* I love that movie.
And I love how grandma Elsie just keeps taking pictures and smiling. Hee!
