I can't go past Dr Strangelove which found the humour and insanity inherent in Mutually Assured Destruction. Hugely memorable characters and extremely quotable. President Merkin Muffley: Gentlemen, you can't fight in here! This is the War Room. It also has an absolute classic phone conversation between the US President Merkin Muffley and the Drunk Russian Premier he is trying to warn of the impending nuclear attack. I'd love to put in a transcript but it may be too long so if you want to read it scroll to about halfway down the pageI also love Bad Santa. Billy Bob brings more smiles to my face than any other mall Santa ever has.

Oh! Dr. Strangelove! Yes! Over the years I've convinced several people to watch it and they always end up loving it! For some reason people assume that because it's an "old" movie, it can't be funny. (Like, the Sense of Humor was only recently invented?)
My favorite part is when the fate of the world (literally) hinges on this guy breaking into a coke vending machine to get change to make a phone call. The up-tight army guy is all agitated at the idea of "theft" but finally concedes to it and says, "You're gonna have to answer to the Coca-Cola Company!"
And that scene with Peter Sellers and crazy Jack, where the world is falling apart and Jack takes the time to explain how he must deny women his "essence" and his theories about fluordination, and the Peter Sellers character is fighting to stay calm, and just murmuring, "Yes, Jack. Oh, lord, Jack."

I'm not proud of this, but I cannot, physically, get enough of Dodgeball. I never get sick of people getting hit in the face and crotch with various objects. I've seen it more times than is probably healthy.
I have a problem.

Off the top of my head: The Big Lebowski, Raising Arizona, This is Spinal Tap and Some Like it Hot are the films that never fail to make me laugh no matter how many viewings. RE: This is Spinal Tap I HIGHLY reccomend that people get the DVD for this film. It includes the most hilarious, in character commentary by Chris Guest, Michael McKean and Harry Shearer. It's almost as funny as the film itself.
Other films that consistently tickle my funny bone: Blazzing Saddles, Tootsie, Soapdish, What about Bob?, Bringing Up Baby, His Girl Friday, Best in Show, National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation, The Philadelphia Story, My Man Godfrey and A Christmas Story.
I've never seen Dr. Strangelove but something tells me I'd love it.

On the subject of unintentionally funny films: I'm ashamed to admit I almost busted into laughter during several parts of the Jodie Foster film Nell. I thought the final courtoom scene was especially funny. I couldn't stop thinking about Phil Hartman's "Unfrozen Caveman Lawyer" character.

I just finished watching Adams Family Values. I had forgotten how funny that movie is. all of the one liners, especially Moricia's. The Harmony Hut. And of course, the cheerfully evil Debbie Jellinsky.

Oh God, where do I begin? Here's just a few: Office Space, Anchorman (though I know many disagree), Super Troopers, The Money Pit, Drop Dead Gorgeous ... none of those ever get old to me.

I love Dodgeball too. "If you can dodge traffic, you can dodge a ball."
