aims -- It's from Aliens! The reason I cheer is because for the whole movie the humans are basically evading the aliens or fighting them from afar, like using hand grenades and machine guns, etc.
The queen alien has got the little kid cornered and suddenly Ripley comes out of nowhere in that (I don't know what to call it) that kind of machine where you manipulate gears inside that mimic your movements except the machine arms are huge, metal things? She basically goes into hand-to-hand combat with the queen alien. But when she unexpectedly bursts onto the scene she snarls, "Don't you touch her, you bitch!" It's great because Ripley's decided enough of this running and shooting from afar, dammit! She's gonna fight the "bitch" one-on-one!
(Sorry about not being able to describe the contraption she's in adequately.)

Though I think the actual quote is:
Get away from her you bitch!
One of the all time cheering moments is when Han shows up right when Luke is about to be blown to bits by Vader. From that point until the Death Star explodes is one huge cheer moment. (Yes, I'm a child of the 70s, why do you ask?)

Sexlexia -- Chances are, you're right, but still, it was a great moment!
Another great moment from Aliens (can you tell I love this movie?) is:
when Vasquez and her buddy know they're trapped in the tunnel with an alien racing towards them. They have one grenade left and they figure, "Hey, if we're gonna die, we're taking one of you bastards with us!" So they do this kind of 1-2-3 gesture holding the grenade and blow themselves (and the alien) to smithereens.
I kind of didn't like Vasquez until then, but then I thought, "Hey, she didn't go easy!"

Another cheer-worthy moment was when Wolverine literally cut loose during the school raid scene in X2.

I grant you, I'm viewing this through the filter of two chronic illnesses, but I went quietly wild in Finding Neverland: Mrs. Rhys-Davies has just been blackmailed into hospital treatment by her son, and she's telling James Barrie that fine, she'll seek treatment, but that it will be on her terms - NOT the hospital's. Ho-yeah!

Mr. Sunnyhorse and I just watched The Full Monty again, and I realized to my delight that I could not stop smiling for the last 15 minutes or so of the film -- big, cheesy, so-happy-I-can't-stand-it smile. By the time our heroes were onstage at the end, we were both hooting and laughing out loud. Wonderful film.

How about:
"Smile, you son of a bitch!" - Roy Scheider to the snark at the end of Jaws. The theater was going absolutely WILD!
HarkesieMcGee - Did you know that the quote you mentioned from Gladiator:
is an actual saying from the writings of the real Marcus Aurelius, suggested by Russell Crowe to add some truth to the exchange.
Also, Sexlexia, I love the Vasquez quote you mentioned from Aliens- but she was in the tunnel with the new lieutenant that none of them trusted or liked. He came back for her and they were both trapped. The fact that they died together that way was more poignant, I thought.
What can I say? I'm one of those movie trivia people. What else would I be doing in this thread?

The end of the movie Rudy, when he gets to play in the big game after he's worked so hard.
Also, when the credits rolled at the end of Pearl Harbor, because I hated that movie and it had finally ended.
