What Movie Moments make you cheer? I recently saw Thelma & Louise again & the scene when Thelma & Louise "kill" the sexist truck driver's truck makes me cheer every time.
Post your favorite Movie Moments that Make You Cheer here.

Corny and manipulative as a lot of people think this is, I quietly cheer at the end of DEAD POETS SOCIETY when a bunch of the kids stand up on their chairs as Professor Keating is leaving for the last time. That stodgy old professor who takes over is helplessly ordering them to get down, to no avail. I like the touch of having not ALL the kids stand up. That would have been too much.
Another cheering moment (and I'll bet I don't even have to mention the name of the movie):
"Don't you touch her, you bitch!"

I'm forever fist pumping over the intense glares Eomer and Legolas exchange in LotR:TTT. That scene is just. so. cool. Perhaps this belongs more in the HoYay! thread, but I always want them to get together after that.

To me the best stand up and cheer moment is at the end of The American President. The whole soliloquy at the end of the movie is wonderful. But it is that last line of "My name is Andrew Shepard and I AM the President" that delivers that perfect punch.

"I want them to remember the night they played the Titans!"
"I think we've got ourselves a football player!"
God I love Remember the Titans. Cheertastic.

I saw this thread and clicked on it only to find what I wanted to post in the very first post. The bit where he's on his knees screaming at them "You bitches! You bitches from hellll!" is so. hilarious. I love that scene.

Well, my choice is rather cheesetastic, but whatever. In the Lion King, when Symba is goes up the rock and claims the throne. The moment was perfect because the music had such a great effect. Had me cheering and crying out of happiness. I know, really pathetic.

Another LOTR one: Eowyn's "I am no man". I'm not a huge fan of the films but that moment definitely brought out the feminist in me.

Coffecakes, I too have a Disney moment that makes me cheer. I just love the end of Toy Story when they're all in Sid's yard. When Woody comes to life and tells Sid to play nice? Yeah, that's cheer worthy in a big way.
I have a four year old, see?

While I don't love the rest of that (pre-Crazy) Mel Gibson flick overly much, the moment in Ransom where he punches (or is it hurls?) Gary Sinese through a plate glass window is quite satisfying.
