I think it's probably both too. She looked a little shook up when she got the rag in the barnbrack.

The maid handed Nucky what I first thought was a bible, but seemed to be a journal which he read and looked perturbed... I think the Commodore thinks he's being sneaky, but Nucky already knows he's going to be stabbed in the back. Sucks to be Jimmy and Eli, they are going to get burned too.

I am looking forward to Eli getting burned, he is such a little weenie.
I thought this was a good season finale. I liked Chalky's expression when they were explaining about getting the dead to vote. And the maid's line about not using a shotgun because she didn't want to clean it up. But does that mean she was poisoning the Commodore on her own? Or was she doing it at the mom's behest? It took this show a looong time to get going but it finally seemed to be building some momentum towards the end. It could still tighten up a little, get rid of some of the characters like Jimmy's wife, and make better use of Chalky and Richard Harrow. And I am not looking forward to the Lucy / Van Alden plot next season. But overall I'm optimistic about season 2.
I totally want to make that cake.

I think Margaret went back to Nucky because of the rag in the cake. She was scared shitless.
I was pissed because Richard Harrow didn't get any lines this episode. He and Chalky White are the best, two badasses for sure.

Damn it, I thought this was stay on On Demand for awhile but I guess not. Anywhere else I can catch it? I went through half of the season, so I kind of want to watch the rest.

Verizon FIoS customers have access to HBO Go, which is like Hulu for HBO. Amazon has the DVD/Blu for pre-order but there hasn't been an official date set beyond "Spring 2011."
Jack Huston (The Masked Man) has been reported to be upgraded to series regular for S2. Yay!
Hilariously, Paz de la Huerta was barred from the HBO Golden Globe afterparty because she was so sloppy wasted. And her tits kept falling out of her dress. Life imitates art, huh?

And again last night. Aside from being in severe need of blotting sheets, she seems crazy or coked up or something. She needs a thread! I am, however, looking forward to the events around the unholy spawn of Lucy and Van Alden next season! I'm even more excited about Richard Harrow being promoted to regular. He is an amazing character.

What is her deal with eye makeup? Or specifically, the lack of it. It's clearly her thing because any picture I've seen of her she's not wearing any. It makes her look really, really weird. (well that and being weird makes her look really really weird.)

An interview with Jack Houston (contains spoilers for last night's ep), who plays the most interesting character on this show, Richard Harrow. Sometimes I wish the whole show was just about Richard and his half a face and his guns and his sad little scrapbook. His scenes are amazing and heartbreaking.
