I saw the headline, "My son is a monster", and thought he was talking about his new baby! You know, just silly - "Oh, he's so big and noisy" bs people do about babies?
Those poor kids. First they add cameras, then a new wife, then a move out of their state, and then another new baby. Now these dumb chicks are sitting around doing makeup - because they're on TV! And who knows what a recurring pattern this is of them just sitting around while the kids run wild (see:Duggars). If you're a morose teenager to begin with, the last thing you need is some douchy part-time dad telling everyone that you're a monster.
Are any of them going to get a job? TLC really needs to quit enabling these families to assume that they're big stars and don't need to actually work. I think Janelle desperately wants out, but her self-esteem is shot to hell. She thinks Kody is the only prize she can land. And it looks like her mood has transferred to poor Hunter.
So no jobs, a fortune in rent on all these separate houses, and they have another baby. What a bunch of idiots. And I was actually liking these people when the show first started. Kody always seemed like a self-important d-bag, but at least the kids all lived together and the wives had also been together for many years. It seems like a midlife crisis hit and this dummy decided on a new young gal and fame. It can be much longer before we hear about how Kody wants to act. He should hook up with Kate Gosselin ... what's 8 more kids at this point?

Could one (or more) of the wives leave just Kody but not the church? Would the church be okay with that? (I know nothing about this religion, obviously)

I've got my money on Janelle as the first one to jump ship.

Hold on here - Robin wants to send her kids to their father instead of leaving a family where the big kids bully the little (and one autistic) kids? And the other moms and dad don't give a crap? Meri was the only one to say anything about it, while Kody was off to the side probably looking through sports car magazines.
I think Meri and Janelle want out but don't know how to do it (I have no idea what that does for their standing in the church). Although Meri is very wrapped up in her identity of "first wife", and Janelle has SIX freaking kids! I had no idea she had that many since she seems to have been the breadwinner.
And how about the two little girls getting dumped on Meri? She didn't seem to want these kids who were supposedly just womb hopping and landed in the wrong one. Oops! Hate when that happens.

LOL!
I think Robyn dumped her kid on Meri, so Meri, the soul mate of Kody, wouldn't have as much alone time with him. I suspect that Mariah goes off to visit her sibs and is more independent, which leaves Meri more time with Kody. Now, with Robyn's wild one and Kimberly's rude one, it makes it quite harder.
I hope that was just a temporary thing, but then again they remodeled the room. . .
One thing I can say about this episode is that it was quite revealing. Boy, did Hunter have it in for Robyn, whom I suspected all along was lazy.
In terms of the bullying, I don't think bullying is the right word. It's more picking on Robyn's wild monkeys. I don't think anyone bothers with Dayton, but those girls are hyper as hell. Anyway, if they were being bullied why would Robin separate her daughters, who could be their own support system?
Perhaps, the other wives didn't speak up, because as they stated on a previous season that is how they play, rough.

I want Meri and Robyn to run off together. Take their kids and live happily ever after without the hair flipper.
It's funny, I kind of like all the women and think they could all do so much better. It's not even the plural wife thing, but the HUSBAND. If they think polygamy gets them to heaven - then more power to 'em. But why are they saddling themselves with that narcissistic nightmare?
Little by little we find out how miserable they all are. Christine is on drugs, and Meri admitted that she has never been close to the other wives until Robyn came along. Janelle is obviously a chronic overeater (they all are at this point). It's time to reevaluate!
And really, do any of them work? They must have gotten a good raise from TLC if they're talking about not only starting their own business, but building four brand new houses. But by all means - keep procreating! Shove a baby at Meri whether she wants one or not! Ugh.

I've been watching this on Netflix. I wonder if this family would have worked if they hadn't done the reality show. I don't see why Kody wanted a new wife...where was he planning to put her? He must have decided to do the show and figured it would bring money for a house. Then they move to Vegas? Whaaaa?
I don't get the couch interviews. They (the interviews) seem to contradict each other. Everyone talks over everyone else. People cry and nothing is ever settled. They don't know how to communicate with each other.
Also, why aren't they contacting people within that lifestyle to get some pointers?

Oh good, I'm not the only one watching this whacked out mess! I cannot.look.away.
So Radar has this story today about Jenelle...
Leave it to Radar to write a horribly unclear story. I thought they were FROM Utah? Where were they living when Kody moved them there?
So Jenelle was gone for two YEARS? She may have had postpartum, but it sounds like she actually had sense and clarity. She always looks bitchy and miserable to me, and I don't blame her.
I want to know how much of this was done in order to get a show and some cash? Was there really going to be a fourth wife and move to Vegas without TLC?

Huh? She and her kids were living on their own and apparently happy that way. It's not like they couldn't visit their dad, "siblings" and "aunts" on holidays and what not the same as any other family separated by distance. Something is not adding up here for sure. My guess would be that Kody acted all cult-leader like and told Janelle that she and her kids would be cut off from him and the rest of the family permanently if she didn't go along with this charade of a reality show. He probably manipulated the kids into begging her to go be with the rest of the sister wives and their kids. I've only seen a few episodes of this show, but I've seen enough to know that Kody is a shallow, narcissistic jerk who would be more than capable of playing games with his kid's emotions.

I wonder if they were afraid that if they didn't tell this story, people who knew the single Janelle would come out and talk (but really, would anyone care?). So she had to concoct the story about how dreamy it was to move into a house with 2 other wives and a zillion children. And maybe she was promised that Vegas move where they would all get cushy little houses of their own because of TLC money. All Janelle has to do is pretend to like everyone, and cash the checks. And she's not even doing a good job with the pretending. When Robyn had that baby, Janelle flat out announced that she was in no hurry to head to the house and actually, you know, see it.
Robyn seems to be the only one still into it. Meri is the doormatty first wife who is loving her time alone (if she doesn't get talked into that surrogacy thing if the ratings drop). And Christine was only happy as the last wife. Can you imagine that your "husband" is off on a date with his new fiance while you're in the hospital giving birth?
Ha, yeah... nothing creepy about sticking it in 4 different wives on a rotating basis.
He has actually come out as being for gay marriage. But I think that's only because he can't throw stones about any kind of marriage when he wants a unique situation himself. When he said it the wives actually looked a little shocked and pissed.
