It looked like the episode was filmed before she realized she was being catfished and the talking head was afterwards. I feel sorry for her. Screwing with people's emotions is such a low-life thing to do.

Prior to this show, I was kinda pro-polygamy in a live & let live way. But these women are so unhappy, jealous, and have such low self-esteem that, while I don't think it should be prosecuted, I also don't think it's emotionally healthy.

However, I do enjoy the talking heads with the older kids. They all seem to be pretty good kids and they're obviously allowed to form their own decisions on how they're going to live their adult lives. Beats the hell out of listening to the Duggar children parrot the party line, no matter how old (or young) they are.

Polygamy means women can have multiple husbands too, but that never happens in societies that claim a religious right to practice it. That's not polygamy, it's misogyny. I'll be pro-polygamy when women within these societies have the option of having multiple husbands as well.

Bumping as I can't believe I still watch this show as every season is so thin on plot and it's always just endless retreads of the same domestic arguments.

After 25 years Christine has announced that she has left Kody. No surprise to anyone.

And Kody's marriage to Meri has been over for a long time, although they have not formally put a final end to it.

I find it interesting that their reason for doing the show (aside from the $$) was to show everyone how great polygamy is, and all they actually did was show how utterly miserable it is, and how all the wives perpetually feel jealous and emotionally neglected.

It's been clear for a long time that Kody had no use for wives #1-3 after they finished having his children and wants to be in a monogamous marriage with Robyn, which he basically now is.

So congrats to the Brown family for proving that monogamous marriage is what makes everyone happiest.
