Awww...I like Feliz Navidad, ONLY as sung by Jose. There's a version playing on my radio that I do not like.
I hate glurge in any shape, form and fashion. That goes for movies, e-mails, AND Christmas songs. That song makes me shiver. And not in a good way.

I lost my lunch when I heard the 30 second MP3 preview of the Christmas Shoes. The other songs are the lesser of Christmas evils

1. "Christmas Shoes"! I hate this with an unholy passion. My poor children once endured a fifteen-minute rant in the car (no escape) about how this song makes me feel homicidal and how wrong it is on so many levels. 2. All versions of "Do You Hear What I Hear?"--not a great song to begin with, and each new cover is worse than the last. 3. "Dominick the Donkey". Stupid, stupid song. 4. "I Want a Hippopotamus for Christmas". Annoyingly nasal vocals and more stupid lyrics. 5. "Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer". Ugh. 6. "The Most Wonderful Time of the Year"--this song reminds me of Christmas in Vegas, in a smoky lounge with some Rat Packer wannabe cheesing it up for the overfed tourists. 7. I love "O Holy Night" when sung properly and respectfully, but not when it becomes a showcase for some diva who either tries to cram forty-seven notes into two bars of music, or gives it the breathy, earnest effort until the last verse, when it becomes the Broadway Act 2 showstopper. *gives the stink eye to Mariah, Christina, Celine, and Lea Michele* 8. Anything by Mannheim Steamroller or Trans-Siberian Orchestra. It all sounds the same to me--loud, overwrought, Euro-techno-synth crap. 9. The entire Jessica Simpson Christmas album, which I have not yet heard--nor do I wish to, based on the live performances I've glimpsed on TV. 10. Roughly 95% of the Christmas music released in the past 10 years (excluding "All I Want for Christmas is You" versions by Mariah Carey and My Chemical Romance, the entire soundtrack of the Stephen Colbert Christmas show, and a few other things here and there). [/old fogy]

I will always love "Grandma ... Reindeer," only because someone at the horse show last year used it as her music for a costume class, to hilarious effect. Her horse was dressed like a reindeer, complete with antlers, and one of her friends, on foot, was dressed like Grandma. Grandma ran all over the ring, popping out from behind jumps, as the horse/rider "reindeer" pair did their round. Partway through the round, someone's Australian shepherd leaped into the ring and started chasing Grandma, too. We all laughed until we cried.

I read a blog once that declared "Christmas Shoes" is "like a Lifetime Movie to music". I can only imagine that poor soul's rage when Lifetime decided to take that awful song and base a tv movie on it!
Patton Oswalt is awesome.

That...shoes song...makes my rage act up. My freshman year of college I swear they played that every ten minutes on the radio. It wasn't bad enough that I was stressed out by finals, but being forced to listen to that everywhere I went? I'm amazed I made it to Christmas with my sanity intact.
I like most of the other songs if only for their kitsch value, I think they're fun and/or funny. Except the John Lennon song. Dude was so freaking preachy, I never liked him. And I was forced to sing it in high school so it automatically loses points that way.
