My husband would like to know if the Guardians of the Galaxy trailer is in the previews? It does. Along with trailers for X-Men Days of Future Past and Amazing Spider-Man. Saw it today and loved it. It was basically a political thriller with a side of superheroing. Plus plenty of shoutouts to other Marvel characters including Spoiler Batroc, Armin Zola, Dr. Strange, and Crossbones. . Even better, there was no tacked on romance, not between Cap and Black Widow or Cap and Agent 13 (Sharon). This is why Marvel/Disney is so consistently beating the tights off of DC and the other Marvel movies other studios. Cohesive (if somewhat chaotic) movies with a tightly-linked story with characters that, despite running around in costumes and jumping off of plummeting helicarriers, manage to make the whole thing believable.

We are going to see it tomorrow. Just read that Disney owns Marvel now? I can only imagine the amusement rides these movies are going to inspire.

Great movie, loved it and the action scenes were spectacular. But the man candy, where does a girl start?

Wow! I really enjoyed this one. The action sequences were all excellent. The directors were really smart about demonstrating not only Steve's heightened physical abilities, but his ingenuity as well (I'm thinking of his escape from the facility in particular). Also, I loved Anthony Mackie and they need to find a way to get Falcon into every Marvel movie. Even have him show up on Asgard. Because he can. Most of all I really liked the sense of paranoia they successfully achieved. << Spoiler Zola's creepy computer monologue >> is, for me, one of the most genuinely disturbing moments in the Marvel movies.

Yes, Mutagen! That moment had me wide-eyed in the theater.
I loved Sam Wilson. His easy and instant friendship with Steve. Their comraderie...I loved it. I'm hoping Falcon shows up in the Avengers 2. Hell, if they can fit Loki into nearly everything, then why not Sam Wilson?
Sebastian Stan...loved him in the first one. Wanted to alternately jump him and cuddle him in this one.
When are we going to get a Black Widow movie? Seriously. What more does the woman have to do to get her own movie?!

Saw it today. It was awesome! Loved every single bit of it. Going to see it again this week. I'm seeing it again too! I'm torn between going solo or waiting for friends. On Friday a guy & a woman (both alone) somehow glommed onto me and the woman had this man giving us half his food throughout the movie (I can only turn down popcorn for so long). She mentioned to me within 5 minutes about how her boyfriend wasn't interested in Marvel--but I don't think our benefactor heard that particular comment. All that to say, she was screaming at & whispering to me (to the point of distraction) that I kinda feel like I already saw it with friends.

So I went alone. I'm going with her later this week. I couldn't wait that long. There was gushing to be done!

I haven't seen the first Captain America movie, but I did see The Avengers. All of your rave reviews have my interests piqued! Do I need to watch the first CA movie, or do any other background research before I go see Winter Soldier?
