I haven't seen the first Captain America movie, but I did see The Avengers. All of your rave reviews have my interests piqued! Do I need to watch the first CA movie, or do any other background research before I go see Winter Soldier? You have to see CA1 before seeing Winter Soldier.

Thanks, Witchie. Is it in 3D? And is it another wait through all the credits deal?

Did anyone else find CE's face really distracting? Sometimes he looked like he had too much makeup on and it was too perfect/too smooth/too pale, other times he looked completely normal. I don't follow comic books or anything, just favor action movies and love the man candy, and it was enjoyable. I like Thor the character more but the more earthly stories make more sense to me. I love Sebastian Stan. Long way from Gossip Girl he is come.

Thanks, Witchie. Is it in 3D? And is it another wait through all the credits deal? Both Captain America movies are in 3-D. It's not really necessary to see them in it, though. And yes, wait until all the credits are done. 2 additional scenes.

Thought it was smart to cast Redford as well, someone that can actually act. I also loved the chemistry between Chris Evans and Anthony Mackie.

I def don't think this is a 3D movie. It's really intense on its own without enhancement.
Please see CA1 for context!
Marvel: making people sit through credits since 1999 (made up date). I like seeing stuntwork and other credits on huge movies, and about half the crowd left before the very, very end (including me, and a theater work whisper-yelled "STAY!" And I ran back to my seat, lol.)

I tend to sit through the credits for most movies, ever since my friends dragged me out of the theater and made me miss the credits scene in the first Pirates of the Caribbean movie.
I loved this and will be seeing it again this afternoon. I was already spoiled for the identity of the Winter Soldier but that didn't make the reveal any less dramatic for me. Chris Evans really brought it in those scenes.

I thought I was spoiled for this. I knew {Spoiler}Robert Redford was bad , but the spoiler I saw said he was the Red Skull. I spent the entire movie waiting for him to peel off his face.
