Saw this today. Loved it! Loved Chris Evans. I was worried he wouldn't be able to handle this role, but he put all those concerns to rest. He was terrific. I even got teary at the end when he crashed the plane. The film is very straightforward. There are no real surprises. It was more heartfelt than I thought it would be.
I have never seen Hayley Atwell in anything, but she is gorgeous and fierce. If there is ever a Wonder Woman movie, she should be considered. I'd buy her in the role.
And seeing Richard Armitage on the big screen was excellent. Oh, my...that is a fine, fine man.
Oh, stay until the very end.

Chris Evans is cute. I really liked him in Sunshine, so I will see this despite the fact that I have zero interest in the comic. I hear he signed up for a possible six picture deal, assuming it does well. I guess that must include appearances in the other Marvel movies.
So glad to hear you loved it, I think I might be pleasantly surprised.

I just got back from it. It was a fabulous movie. Stanley Tucci and Hayley Atwell were fantastic in it. Chris sold me as Steve Rodgers and the ending...ugh, just killed me. Like Witchie said, stay until after all the credits role for the extra scene.

I just got back from this as well. I loved the film. It was by far the best of the avenger films for me (Iron Man, Iron Man2, Thor). Chris Evans was excellent in it and it was surprisingly touching. I agree that the actress would be a great Wonder Woman.
I stupidly didn't stay until the end, can someone spoil what the last scene was?

I haven't seen it yet, but I read a review that said there is no post-credit scene, just a screen saying "Captain America will appear in the Avengers movie." Now I come to this thread and I'm so confused!

Now I come to this thread and I'm so confused! I think critics had to sign a non-disclosure agreement & couldn't reveal the scene. But trust me, there's one. All the way at the very end, after the credits have rolled. It's a good 10 mins after the movie ends.
