I... don't really think John Cusack movies are funny. I don't see what's sweet or endearing about him, either.

LOL bstewart! Don't make me angry! Just thinking about that movie gives me a rash. And not in a good way... I... don't really think John Cusack movies are funny. I don't see what's sweet or endearing about him, either. Totally agree. He comes across as a dick. Also, did he have some work done on his face? In Hot Tub Time Machine especially he looked a little odd. Makeup maybe?

I quite liked him in "Malkovich", maybe because his character was a shallow dick? Then again, I even liked Cameron Diaz in "Malkovich". I did like him getting all tortured 'n' stuff in "1408".

I do want to see "Max" or whatever the Noah Taylor/Hitler art student movie was, but that's the only John Cusack movie I'm kind of interested in seeing. I don't like his films, and I'm pretty sure he almost drove over me when I lived in Chicago.
And I hate his tiny Hello Kitty mouth
And since this is about his movies...I think I've said everything I feel like saying elsewhere.

Seeing Ryan Gosling's thread at the top of the Celebs forum made me realize that I've never seen The Notebook nor had any desire to see it. I guess that's why I don't melt over him or OTP him with Rachel McAdams.

Grosse Pointe Blank played in my local theatre for 4 months that summer. I went to see it nearly everyday, and was usually alone in the theatre, so I think it was all my doing. I would go in the afternoons to cool down between sessions at my studio, which was not air conditioned. It is one of my favorite movies of all time, but that can probably be blamed on my unnatural feelings for Minnie Driver....

Early John Cusack (Grosse Pointe Blank, Sixteen Candles, even Say Anything, even though the character he plays is a creepy stalker) is good. Latter-day John Cusack is not.

I also loved the soundtrack to Grosse Pointe Blank, but my favorite John Cusack movie was Better Off Dead. Extremely quotable.
"I want my two dollars!"
His more recent films? Not so much. He seems to have lost the irony that attracted me.
