Can anyone tell me why Moneyball is nominated for 4 Golden Globes? Because I went to see this and it was just OK. maybe.
The movie is just plain and normal in every way possible.
There is no standout performance. There is nothing special about this movie that would attract someone who is not typically interested in baseball and nothing really here for the baseball fan which they don't already know. Nothing.
Were there that few standout performances this year?

So Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie (who was also nominated) will be guaranteed to show up at the ceremony. That's really it. I don't know why it got nominated for SAG Awards too, unless it's a similar deal.

Was Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle considered a critical or box office success? Because damn if it wasn't one of the worst movies I've ever seen. No wonder Demi Moore hasn't acted since then.

I saw Bridesmaids today. Well, I tried to watch it three three days in a row, but kept turning it off to go to bed. I finally made it through the movie all the way today.

I haaated it. It sucked. I really wanted to like that damn movie, but it was stupid (to me, at least). I am bummed.

Oh, also? I hated the Hangover. I want all of the characters from that movie to die in a fire. Blah!

I sorta like Full Throttle, in its ridiculousness. I mean, you have Drew doing Ziggy Stardust in a scene (there's no real, justifiable reason behind it as I recall) and Demi brandishing a golden gun wearing nothing but a fur coat and bra/panties.

Come on, that's some quality cheese right there.

War Horse looks like it sucks horse balls. Haven't seen it, but the trailer alone reminds me of the part in the movie Irreconcilable Differences where the Ryan O'Neal character was making a Gone With the Wind type flick that was supposed to be beautiful, awe inspiring award bait, but the movie ended his career.
