Hunter, don't be shy. Tell us how you really feel about Nolan.
If his plan is to confuse people and have them wonder wtf they are hearing, then he has accomplished a lot. I hope he listens to WB because Bane sounds ridiculous. I've never minded Bale's growl, but Bane is a bit too much.

Bale's batman voice didn't bother me in Batman Begins but it was much more pronounced in TDK. I don't think it was heard in this trailer was it? Interesting to see if he toned it down. I actually thought Michael Caine sounded a little off too. More slurry than usual. It is weird that Nolan seems to want to come off as very detailed oriented yet doesn't seem to care at all about the sound and actors accents/voices. I seem to recall some dodgy accents in The Prestige as well.
I thought the football field implosion looked super cheesy. I am sure it is something that will look better once the movie comes out but why make it the centerpiece of the trailer if the effects aren't ready? I thought the teaser trailer was much better.

I thought Caine sounded weird too, though he also looked a bit disheveled so I'm just wondering if it makes sense in context. Like Alfred is super upset or drunk or something.

I wonder if Nolan is doing muddy sound mixes NOT for "artistic" reasons but because he knows fans will go see the movie twice to catch what they missed.
As for Inception, I love to hate that movie. Saw it in theaters, thought it was okay, then caught it on cable and realized it was almost all exposition. Leo was wooden and unbelievable, Marion Cotillard's accent was thick and annoying, and the action sequences, especially in the taxi and in the snow, were poorly executed. I just watch it for the pretty men.
Still, my butt will be there for TDK.

Seriously, it sucks to saddle someone awesome like Ellen Page with a role like Exposition Jones. Good news -- a new mix has gone out to the IMAX theaters with the background noise reduced, so Bane is now "40-50% more comprehensible." Which still isn't much, but at least Warner got Nolan to take his head out of his ass.

I really liked that trailer, and I liked what I saw of Anne as well... but then I really like her in movies and have a soft spot for her in general: not sure why. To me, this looks better than the last instalment. I loved Batman Begins, but I wasn't nuts about the sequel apart from Eckhart's Harvey Dent.

Now if only they could fix Batman's voice...

I've been reading the current Catwoman comics (for those who don't read comics she's had her own title for a few months) and I really like the version of Selina in them.
Basically she's Indiana Jones. If he were female. And younger. And a thief. Alright maybe not that much like Indiana Jones but what I mean is that much like Indy the current version of Selina is smart and tough and plenty capable but (again like Indy) she's also reckless, dependent on a lot of luck to get her through and doesn't really plan much at all. She also has a pretty good line in self deprecating snark.
She's a really entertaining character but unfortunately she wouldn't really fit in the Nolan-verse.

I just bought tickets to a 9 am show tomorrow. I refuse to compete with midnight show or crazed weekend fans. Hopefully it'll just be me and the other unemployeds...

I saw a screening earlier this evening and really liked it a lot. Tons of cool chase scenes and edge of the seat fights. My co-worker who's a comic book nut gave it a B-, but that's in large part because he knows all of the storylines from the comic books and not everything was done the same in the film.
