I just saw it and thought it was great. Light years better than the silly piece of crap that was The Avengers (god I hated that movie).
That said I thought Bane was a stupid villain with a stupid "woe is me" backstory and the twist was just contrived.
Ending was awesome. JGL and Anne Hathaway were both awesome as well. I thought it was the best of the three, even if it did feel a little long. I don't get the criticism that it's some dark, violent, depressing movie - it's definitely not. The whole theme of the film (and really the trilogy) is about hope and redemption.

I enjoyed it more than I thought I would. Anne Hathaway did a great job as Selina. Bane's voice though just threw me out the film, I wish they hadn't redone it because he sounded like Sean Connery. I had a hard time not laughing every time he talked. The movie didn't feel like 2.5 hours so that was impressive to me. The ending was great. Hello Man of Steel! Looking forward to that one.

I just got back from seeing it--and really, really liked it. I'll be honest, I enoyed "The Dark Knight" but didn't love it, but really enjoyed "Batman Begins" so I wasn't sure how I would like it.
ElleCee is right in that Bane did sound just like Sean Connery. As a result, instead of being scared by Bane, I was thinking "He seems like a scary/fun camp counseler!", which is probably not the response they were going for.
As for the "It's too dark!" critiques. Actually, I disagree, yes there was a lot of darkness in this film, but that the hero in the end wasn't just Batman--but a team of people working with him, shows that there is hope for Gotham. In addition, I like Christian Bale as Bruce Wayne/Batman, I think he actually plays the humor card well as this character quite a few times in this role. This is probably the only role that I've seen him in, as an adult, that I like him in.

I saw it tonight (well, I guess last night) and enjoyed it. It's the first Batman movie I've seen in the theater and I mostly saw it for Tom Hardy. I thought he did a good job but, because of the twist, I don't know if this movie will catapult him into fame like I want. Anyway, I thought it was well-directed and acted but it still left me cold, like the other Batman movies. I didn't feel for any of the characters.
Anne Hathaway was excellent and JGL was a revelation. He is really coming into his own as an actor.
Funnily, unlike the others, this one really felt like it incorporated more of a comic book/superhero feel.

I went and saw the movie last night and I thought it was a great ending to the trilogy. Although I like Tom Hardy and I thought he did a good job I thought the writing for Bane was the one main weakness in the film. His motivations never seemed very clear to me, other than the fact he was a bad guy doing bad things. I'm not quite sure what the problem was. Bane simply isn't a great iconic villain like the Joker was in TDK. And the twist may even weaken Bane a bit as terrifying villain. Apart from that I loved everything about the movie. It is more of an ensemble piece with other characters as heroes as well as Batman/Bruce Wayne. This is also my favorite performance by Christian Bale in the series. Prior to this movie Michael Keaton was still my favorite Batman/Bruce Wayne but CB was excellent in the roles.
I thought the whole cast was great. Gary Oldman, Anne Hathaway and JGL were excellent of course, but even the actors in the minor roles shone.
This is my favorite movie of the summer so far. I don't know if it will make as much money as the Avengers, it's hard to tell how the shootings will affect box office. This is the only movie this year that I want to see again.

How can they say this is dark? Every Nolan Batman is dark. It's Gotham--it's a dark-ass town! I also thought redemption was a major theme. Re: Bane, I thought his death was an afterthought, which I thought cheated Hardy, but he did the best he could. He did an interview about not letting the costume own him but uh, there was only so much expression he could give with his eyes, especially as sociopaths don't tend to do much but stare glassily and wreak havoc.
I was impressed with Hathaway too.

This is the first movie that grabbed me from the start, the airplane sequence was incredible, and I was literally staring at the screen with my mouth open. The guy next to me was on the edge of his seat.

I saw it last night and I just thought it was okay. I wasn't a big fan of Anne Hathaway. She did so much better than I expected, but I still wasn't fond of her character. The writing for Bane wasn't fleshed out enough so I didn't really get a handle on his character. Everything else was really great but I don't really have a desire to see this again, much like I did with the second film.

Yes! The airplane sequence was one of the best. If not the best. I think I just have Batman Begins, maybe I'll buy the trilogy when it's on sale in seven years.

Saw it and really enjoyed it, although the audience seemed subdued for most of it. Anne was terrific as Catwoman, but she's still no Michelle Pfeiffer. Didn't see the twist coming, but did somehow guess that JG-L would become Robin. More of a slow burn than rat-a-tat-tat action, but a really thrilling climax.
