Wow is right. Whatever issues she has with Jon, and even with Colin, what does it say to that child that she doesn't even show up in person to weigh in on his fate?

I know people were expendable in her world, but never thought she'd wash her hands of one of her kids.

What I find most curious about all of this is Kate's restraint in defending her image and reputation. Jon's "sources" have been providing bitter quotes that sound like they came straight outta 2009 for months now and not a word or even a passive aggressive social media post from Kate addressing them. It's like she's given up entirely on any sort of fame or revenue stream tied to her image. But why? We may never know. If Kate Gosselin falls and TLC isn't their to film it, does she even exist?

For her income now, I can only guess that she invested wisely and has remained frugal. She might even still be getting free products to this day. Managing money seems to be a natural talent of hers, though I suspect that talent has come from the fear of poverty that was triggered all those years ago when she did the math and realized she had 2 kids plus 6 more on the way and 1 dopey husband which would equal a life of squalor if she didn't do something about it. In that old shitty book about her that included her emails, there was a lot of anxiety that came through, and it was clear that getting free stuff, making more money and saving the money they had already made was always top of mind.

Kate Plus Date will premiere on TLC in June. Mady and Cara might or might not have a show of their own chronicling their first year in college. I'm sure Kate is encouraging this idea, but hopefully it won't happen. Freshman year in college is not good time to be followed and filmed. Meanwhile, Jon, who is forever the gossiping ninny, is telling the tabloids that Kate has nothing to do with Collin anymore. Event though he's come a long way and it's commendable that he's taken on custody of Collin, it's time to stop with the parental alienation game that both he and Kate have engaged in for so long. He said his last meeting with all 8 kids was volatile and this is why. The kids have been raised to choose sides. 14-year-old Hannah has figured out how to get along with everyone. Her parents could learn a thing or two from her.

Ugh, that sounds like awkwardness on parade. Kate's personality is already a tough sell and she gets worse when she's uncomfortable.

TLC can't really do Kate + 8 since 2 of those children now live with their father. It must have been a madhouse on Kate's end.

Please tell me someone else has caught at least an episode of this cringe-y nightmare. I ran across it in a hotel and could barely even tolerate the awkwardness.

She is such a deeply unpleasant and needlessly judgmental person. For someone who is so damn awkward herself, she sure does have A LOT to say about other people's quirks and personal habits.

Also, they have Mady and Cara doing commentary and Mady has so much of Kate's judginess (but a little more humor) and Cara does not say a word. I watched an entire hour of this and she honestly did not speak.
