Yes, he was dating Dianna Agron before. He apparently has a violent temper and there were rumors that she was looking to take a restraining order out against him because he was threatening to hurt her. Dude has major anger issues.

I saw it over the weekend. Not a great storyline, but that made no difference to me. I was entertained. Might even have to catch a matinee so I can see Channing dance to Pony on the big screen again... got damn! I've never crushed on him before this movie and have always seen that he has a great body, but he really sucked me in with this movie. Boy is fine. And hoo boy, what a fantastic way to start the movie off--his ass is fantastic. I actually think the theater I was in was stunned into silence when his ass appeared.
I saw a lady walk out of the showing before ours with a little girl around 9 years old. What the hell?
Add me to the list of those that thought the sister was nowhere near Mike's level. Especially when I saw her in her bikini. Like I'm going to believe he's digging on this girl with no tits, flat ass, unremarkable face and boring personality. I was kind of disappointed when I figured out that she was his love interest. Blech. I hope they cut her reaction shots of his dance scene in the DVD extras.
The rumor about the dances on the DVD had soooooo better be true. That DVD can't be released fast enough.

I went and saw it this weekend, and a woman that didn't look a day over 80 rolled in with her walker and (I assume), her daughter. They sat right in front of us, and I'll admit I thought it was a little awkward at first, but Channing sucked me in, and I forgot everything else. Not too impressed with the girlfriend, but when I read who her dad was, it made sense. I've liked it more, as I've thought about it.
And you are right, JDub, that DVD can't come out soon enough.

God, I KNOW. I posted on another forum that she just scowled all stony-faced at the stage as if she was watching an execution instead of hot young men stripping.

Well, to be fair, I was watching most of the stripping like this 0___o myself because it's not something I find especially titillating, but I know that the character was probably expected to have more of a narrative-advancing, or character-insight-giving reaction.
My gripe is that I have a friend who's ranting on Facebook about MM, in the vain of men watching every movie about women stripping ever is now absolved by Magic Mike. So annoying.

Just saw this. The female lead was awful. Guess her father put up money for this movie so she could get a job.
No way in hell "the Kid" could be the dude to replace Mike as the headliner, especially with the move to Miami. I could believe Tito, or maybe one of the other non-Tarzan guys, but not the skinny, fugly white boy.

3D? We laughed and laughed when we left the theater that HoCaine was gonna be pissed when he found out about Delko's stripping gig. Totally agree one of the other guys wold have been the headliner in Miami. "The Kid" was not somebody who did a thing for any of us. I hope he and his sister don't appear in the sequel.

I actually thought Mike and 'The Kid' had way more chemistry - not necessarily in a HoYay way - than Tatum did with Horn.
