Good for her! I've been rooting for them since I saw how crazy in love they appear to be. Their wedding was so lovely because of how in love they seemed. I'm so happy for her, she seems very nice and has been through a great deal-first with her eating disorder and then with her and Daniel basically dating forever and ever before getting engaged-only for the engagement/wedding to be almost upstaged by her younger siblings. |

Why did they wait so long to get engaged? And how was she almost upstaged by her siblings? As you can tell, I don't know much about the royals.

Why did they wait so long to get engaged? And how was she almost upstaged by her siblings? As you can tell, I don't know much about the royals. Its okay, I know a ton. And Victoria's one of my favorites. Daniel, VIctoria's husband was her personal trainer/owner of her gym when they met. Victoria was anorexic young, due to pressures from being heir as well as being dyslexic-she went to America and studied at Brown for a while to get away from Sweden. So, Daniel's smart but not as educated as "those in charge" would have liked-he's totally self made, his dad's a postman, so the long relationship was to make sure he could handle the pressure/would want to handle it. So, when they got engaged the engagement period was long for royalty-like a year and a half, to give Daniel time to sell his businesses, and also have a kidney transplant. About..five or so months into the engagement period, Madeleine, Victoria's younger sister also gets engaged to her long-term boyfriend, but they don't set a date. Last spring, not long before Victoria's wedding, Madeleine breaks her engagment-and it turns out her fiance had cheated on her, and the engagement was sort of putting a "bandaid" on it, and it didn't work (the irony here is amazing, as Madde's ex was seen as a better option than Daniel because he was a lawyer from "a good family.) So, Madde goes to "heal her wounds" on various beaches and shows up back in Sweden a week before the wedding. Meanwhile, Victoria's brother Carl Philip has broken up with his long term girlfriend to take up with...a former nude model. Basically, the whole few months leading up to the wedding was pure drama with the younger siblings. |

Victoria and Daniel had a baby girl this morning ! The little princess has no name yet. Being the first born, she will be Queen of Sweden after her mother. |
