I like this show, but I think the women's costumes, especially Nina and Elizabeth are not ugly enough for the early 80s. They look great by 2014 standards but I remember my mom and other moms wearing some ugly stuff. Lots of polyester, obnoxious patterns, big frames for the glasses. Nina and Elizabeth are the "hot" women of the show (poor Martha) but they are looking a little too good. Where are the perms?

Elizabeth and Phillip were scary tonight. If I were that poor guy at the factory I'dve pissed my pants in fear.
Also, as someone who either wasn't born yet or was far too young to be aware of them originally I'm really enjoying the songs they've used on the show so far. Here Comes the Flood is beautiful.

Oh how I love this show, I think it is my favorite thing on tv right now!
On the last episode, I thought their son would be walking in on the dad at the very end when Philip was developing those pictures. Wouldn't it be funny if it was this other child who caught them red-handed rather than the suspicious and snoopy daughter.
I was thinking about pregnancies on this show too...how do they know if Philip is the father of the kids if part of Elizabeth's job is to have sex with other men? Or do they not care about that, it is just part of being a spy. I would love for Martha or the Russian gal (cannot think of her name) to get knocked up, preferably at the same time just to see the parallels of how the two married men handle it.

Paige is so freakin' nosy! Chip off the old block, I guess. Phillip's tone with her gave me goosebumps, he's usually the nice parent & he was in interrogation mode!
I assumed Factory Guy (Derek?) was a goner for sure. When did Felicity become so menacing? It was part music but part dance between the two, where Elizabeth was clearly dominant.

How can someone so petite be so scary? I know Elizabeth and Phillip aren't good guys but I usually want them to succeed. This time I kinda wanted the factory guy to throw a chair at her head and run. One thing I missed in the first two episodes was the 80s deep cuts so I enjoyed the end montage. They do such a good job with the music on the show. Nothing obvious or overplayed.

Presumably Elizabeth took precautions when she had sex with other men, as it is definitely in the KGB's best interests that Philip be the father of her children. It keeps their partnership that much closer. And if there was doubt amongst their doctors and neighbors that Philip wasn't the father, it would only arouse suspicion about their "marriage."

That scene where she decided to sleep with Phillip was so depressing. He just seemed beaten down and sad. Points for the ridiculous bra though.

Another dark ep. It's a credit to the writing that I feel so bad for two sleeper KGB spies and almost no compassion for Beeman running after his own tail--and Nina's.

Though once again Phillip was scary as hell, he just sat there stone-faced while that poor scientist was bawling like a baby. I felt bad for that guy, getting hauled back to Russia in chains. He's never going to see his family again and they'll probably never know what happened to him.
